delfinis38 1 Posted March 11, 2017 Anymore clues, picture, wire colour. This forum is bonkers, it's stated a new thread, when I was only replying
gollfy1 10 Posted March 11, 2017 (edited) sorry I'm trying to put a pic on:) at front of centre console, the brown black/yellow wire Edited March 11, 2017 by gollfy1
SteveM 10 Posted March 12, 2017 Brown is usually an earth, black/yellow is normally an X contact supply(ignition live unless the starter motor is cranking) No idea what the plug is for though, not delved into either of my cars that far just yet(except the heater matrix on the Storm)
delfinis38 1 Posted March 13, 2017 Is this on the passenger side just behind the centre cubbyhole ? I have something similar doing nothing.
Cressa 44 Posted March 13, 2017 What year car is it and have you tested it to see if there is voltage at any time? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
eugopnosaj 0 Posted March 13, 2017 Pretty sure those connectors, with the black and yellow cable, are for ignition-on lighting, and if its in the centre console then I'd go with it would be for the gauges if you were to have them installed. It's fine to leave it disconnected.
delfinis38 1 Posted March 13, 2017 (edited) I assumed the same thing, but connection is wrong. But wired my guages through the cig lighter and glovebox light. Edited March 13, 2017 by delfinis38

Jim 2 Posted March 13, 2017 Can't remember what the connector looks like, but could it be the illumination for the ash tray?
delfinis38 1 Posted March 13, 2017 Can't remember what the connector looks like, but could it be the illumination for the ash tray? Jim your right it's the same connection block as for the ash tray. I have one spare like this too behind the dash.
Geeba 0 Posted March 14, 2017 Possibly the illumination for the auto-box model as the R-D-N-1-2-3 is illuminated on my car ;)
