Top mounts

Got some ap coilovers to fit to the valver going to replace top mounts what make are people recommending? Cheers

One top tip is to give the struts a coat of waxoil as the coating corrodes quickly. I found out about it to late.

Did you replace mounts oem, the more I read the more confused I get been looking at upgrading to vr mounts.

I actually used the top mounts that were already on the car. I didn't think about it until it was to late as I was using it as a daily at the time. But will be changing them when I take them off again to give them a clean up.

Front (for VR6 anyway) are still available from the dealership. This is what I used, although with both top plates it worked out at over £80!

Rears are obsolete, so the next best offering and which I believe is what VW use if genuine parts aren't available, are Lemforder. I think it was AVS / VW Spares that I got them from when I replaced mine last year.

Lemforder stuff is quality, never had a problem with their stuff.
