the central locking on my corrado is hit and miss,may be something simple as vacuum pipe . so has anyone fitted after market central locking kit,alarm.The doors are not a problem as l have fitted a alarm,central locking kit to a Manta.its the boot ,petrol flap which l might have a problem with

Is the petrol flap wiring just 2 wires.How is the boot locked/open is a vacuum system same as the doors any information welcome

Have you a Bentley manual? There's a detailed diagnostic check in it. The locks including he petrol tank and boot are all vac/air actuated

Hi No manual need to know how the petrol flap , boot lock works it is a vacuum system

Has abody removed the vacuum system and fitted a after market system

As I said in the last post they are vac/air operated like the doors. If it were me I'd be getting the original system working correctly rather than cobbling in an aftermarket solution.

When you fit aftermarket alarms, they just tap in to the vacuum pump to operate central locking which includes both the tailgate and petrol flap.

Thanks for the information gents.l will check the the vacuum pipes ect.l was thinking that the vacuum system would not be compatible an after market alarm
