VR6Andy 10 Posted August 16, 2017 Well I have been a Corrado owner for over 2 years now so thought it's about time I started a thread. Was after a Mk2 Golf 16v originally but struggled to find a decent one for realistic money...then this popped up on EBay. I rang the guy and he sounded genuine so a deal was struck over the phone and off I went to Wales to pick it up. It took 6 hours to drive home( Friday afternoon ) but the car never missed a beat, and to be honest it's just got better and better.Has done 141,000 miles but have no idea if the chains and tensioners been done but hasn't any nasty rattles or knocks. It had Speedlines fitted when I bought it but I also got the original Solitudes as well. It had its original exhaust on which was rotten so has been replaced with a non-resonated Jetex which sounds superb. Apart from 2 services it has FSH by VW and even came with the original Storm brochure. Have done various jobs like new sunroof motor and headlining, new bearings, rear discs and pads etc. Jobs to do are AP Coilovers, front wishbones, bushes , front discs, pads , bearing but will wait till winter as try to use it as much as possible. Gutted that I have missed the Leeds VW Festival for the past 2 years as I work away but should be there next year all being well..!! Cressa 44 Posted August 16, 2017 The car looks great. I'm an original man when it comes to Storms and their wheels, but BBS are great. Jealous . One day when my car grows up it would like to be this nice Cressa Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
VR6Andy 10 Posted February 20, 2018 Got a few jobs done over the weekend...new wishbones fitted with the R32 rear bushes , dreaded having a go at the front bolts in case they snapped but both came out no bother...replaced with new. New inner tie rods fitted , new steering boots, track rod ends and drop links. Also replaced the sump as had a leak from the gasket and had to come off anyway to get the drivers wishbone bolt out..!! Just ordered a set of AP Coilovers with new mounts all round so will be interesting to see what the ride is like once they are fitted...!!! fla 9 Posted February 20, 2018 looking very tidy there Andy. Well done for getting stuck in! Did you replace the wishbone bushes yourself? Might need to do mine (as a precaution) but wondering if its feasible on axle stands or best to get a garage with a four-poster to do it.

Dogma 10 Posted February 20, 2018 (edited) Looking good - far and away the best colour for a Corrado too ;-) Green is the best colour, as we know the best things come in green. But i must admit the Corrado looks awesome. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited February 20, 2018 by Dogma

I bought new wishbones with the bushes already fitted...they weren’t too bad to do on axle stands was well pleased when the front mounting bolts came out in 1 piece..have heard a few lads on here having a nightmare when they shear off..!!!!
