fla 9 Posted April 16, 2018 Just had to remove the c post trims and in doing so managed to break off one of the pins in the metal clamp bracket on the post. Is there any way to stick it back on, plastic weld or indeed just adhesive that anyone has tried successfully?
Cressa 44 Posted April 16, 2018 I used a Strange plastic glue and powder to bond and strengthen mine. I glued it back on and then added a special powder to the Base of the break. A couple of drops of glue and it turns solid so making the Base stronger. I'll take a picture tomorrow of the product. I've used it lots on the Corrado trim. Cheaper to repair than replace I found Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
fla 9 Posted April 17, 2018 Sounds interesting cressa, thanks. I was going to use a self tapping screw with the head removed as a centre piece and then use some araldite as well but your solution sounds better.
Cressa 44 Posted April 17, 2018 Q bond. I'll try and get a picture of a repair I did. I found It has worked well for trim fixings, for me anyway Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

GrahamU 6 Posted April 17, 2018 I use 3M DP490 for any plastic repairs, used it the other day to fix my rear spoiler mount https://www.3m.com/3M/en_NG/company-mea/all-3m-products/~/3M-Scotch-Weld-Epoxy-Adhesive-DP490-Black-400-ml/?N=5002385+8709318+8709341+8710676+8710815+8711017+8711736+8713609+3292930833&rt=rud
