edd 0 Posted April 18, 2018 Second question tonight... Talk to me someone about brake bias - vr6 I know they are an ar5e to remove due to bolts corroding My new shiney one in its box doesn’t have bolts supplied...aarghhh I’m assuming the originals will be shafted by my mechanic in the process of getting it off Can’t see the bolts referenced on my online ETKA (type) link and can’t find them referenced online anywhere through a google search Any one know what they are, really cannot be bothered with another trip to VW. Last time I went the parts lad said “what’s a Corrado?! Edd Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Cressa 44 Posted April 18, 2018 I had to drill mine off. If I remember correctly I used some hexagon stud bolts and nylon nuts. Job done Nothing fancy in the fixings Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
vr6monkey 1 Posted April 18, 2018 ‘What’s a Corrado???!!!' - how funny... I’ve had young kids ask me, but at least my local main dealer parts bloke has a Corrado himself and is pretty helpful. Good luck with brake bias.
Graphite 0 Posted April 19, 2018 You mean these?
Graphite 0 Posted April 19, 2018 You mean these? If you are careful and heat the body of the brake bias valve up with an oxy torch then you can tease them out in some cases. If your tech has a torch and the experience he may just save them.
