Cressa 44 Posted May 27, 2020 So whilst faffing putting the tailgate back together I noticed that one of the rear fog lights is slightly blanked out. Has anyone knocked this out and got both rear fogs working. Sounds a late 80s thing but will only need a bulb and this pushing out. I will test it properly to check at the weekend, but wondered if anyone had done this 😇
easypops 8 Posted May 27, 2020 I did it on my first Corrado, many years ago now, fairly sure it worked ok but I wouldn’t bet on much that I do 🤣
fendervg 33 Posted May 27, 2020 I've done it on my VR6 - it was a common mod on a lot of German cars of that era. I think, but would have to check, that there is no reflector in the blanked off side, but once you have bulbs in both you wouldn't notice much if any difference from the rear when they are on, and there is no change to wiring required. Should work no problem.
Cressa 44 Posted May 28, 2020 I will give it a try this weekend. Cheers
fendervg 33 Posted May 28, 2020 Cool - let us know if it works for you. It's a nice little mod and great for letting drivers know if they have full beam on behind you at night!
