FrankyEight 10 Posted January 13, 2022 Hi guys I've got a fuel problem — garage thinks is possibly with the metering unit — fuel pump working fine and feeding to the unit ok, but nothing coming out of it — any idea if a metering unit can be sourced, if it proves to be the problem? Any advice appreciated! Thanks
_Matt_ 32 Posted January 17, 2022 Have you lifted the flap in the metering head - i forget what it is called, the part i have circled in red. It's the movement in this flap that opens the channels to distribute the fuel from the metering head to the injectors. There are some very knowledgeable chaps on kjet on clubgti - rubjonny for example.

Thanks for this, we ending up replacing the metering unit to no avail... the car still doesn't want to start although IT WILL start if some of that fuel-in-a-can stuff is sprayed directly in to the throttle body... any ideas? I'm stumped!
