plastic triangle by the door mirror water leak

Recommended Posts

Does anybody know how to remove the plastic triangle trim piece by the door mirror on a 91 Corrado G60 ?.  I think I need to remove both interior and exterior parts as I have a small water leak which trickles down the passenger door card and over the door speaker.

Inner just pops off with a flat edge, it only clips on.
outer has a screw from the inside holding it place, there is a plastic cap on the screw head to be popped off

Adding to Shaun, use a heat gun to get a little warmth in the plastic and slide the outside triangle off (toward the front of the car from memory).
There is a flat plastic hook affair which slides into the metal door frame.

Take your time and do not break it!

Ok took the interior plastic triangle off but not sign of any nut to undo for the exterior part, I take it the three tabs that are visible are holding in the exterior triangle ? or am I wrong...  I don't want to be breaking anything obsolete...does anyone know how the exterior bit comes off ?

It's the button just underneath the right hand side of the triangle in this pic. The button is a screw cover
