daves16v 1 Posted June 26, 2022 Hello all, I'm tidying up a few wiring issues and have removed a sub, amp and associated wiring and returning to standard again. I'm guessing the tweeter wiring has been desoldered and wired direct to the amp? I'm not big into ICE. See photo. If so I'll need a couple of standard tweeters. Cheers Dave
Dox 23 Posted June 26, 2022 It looks like someone has gutted the original speaker and glued in an MB Quart tweeter (good quality BTW), I suspect the wiring will be (should be) cut elsewhere and is fed from a crossover (hi / low frequency splitter). daves16v 1 Posted June 26, 2022 The grey cable was attached to the crossover and the stock wiring was untouched so I'll be able to plug in the replacement tweeters. I'll include these tweeters as part of the sale of the complete kit.
GrahamU 6 Posted July 5, 2022 If I were you, I'd just solder the wires from those tweeters to the terminals on either side of the connections then you can use the original wiring, any second hand tweeters you buy will be 30 odd years old so not great in quality
daves16v 1 Posted July 5, 2022 Yes I could do that, I'll take a look. Thanks.
