Hey Chris I dropped you an email about some bits yesterday - hope you got it? Looking for: Drivers side undertray black 15 pair towing eye covers 15 50mm splitter few scratches but no splits 30 Thanks -
My TDI has a sexy clattery diesel pump up front so I dont need the feeble little fuel pump - Which unfortunately didn't work so when I got to 1/4 of a tank I'd suck air and run out of fuel heehee  The other pick up has pipes that go to the bottom of the tank with no breaks :)

Why thank you, Was beginning to think nobody liked the old girl....

Few more pics now the rear bit is sort of better, been looking at the front bit. Nothing much to report... Was a little concerned about my wings rotting inside, well the lip any way - it's a bit cracked after an "emergency" baseball bat roll, plus I wanted to get the door shuts tidy (pet hate) so I bit the bullet and pulled them off only real concern is where some **** has ****ted up this with a jack :bh looks fun to fix.... 12 degree's +/- 2 dialed. was getting a bit bored with having molten steel drip on me so tackled a couple of small jobs for a break... Goodbye 02A shifter, hello, 02J - the 02A was really slack and that used to make more noise shaking about than the engine! Actually, I think that the seal in the to might have been shot judging by the crusty brown gunge.... so while that was off, switched this over I had to hack up the underneath of the car a bit to get the 02J shift tower in but it's there bar some bolts, which I didn't have. Feels awesome! So back to body work, I previously rolled my arches which went OK, except this bit which as you can see looks suspect & lumpy... so I hit the lump out.... LOL Then back to this jacking point Which I found an ideal double skinned bit on the MK4's bonnet So I haphazardly pigeon ****ted it in, god I hate welding upsidedown and a sploge of bilt hamber
-
Both arches almost welded! I feel its a significant achievement as it has felt like it has taken about 10years ! I also swapped these over, so that's another stupid but useful job done :) Anyway, some uninteresting pics of the bottom of the 'Rado of Dailyness... Epoxy mastic Nearly a litre of seam sealer :D Then a bit of gravitex Goodbye wiper
-
A load more warfare later Fresh powder coat all successfully removed and new bushes ruined.... Trying to remember how I installed rear bearings last time, as this time they seem much trickier lol :bh: Really must buy a Press. Very dull goings on, but the end is in sight for the Driver side arch! Been chipping away a little at a time... Both the front and the back were a bit holey in the traditional VW place Been having a bit of a head scratch about the fuel flap lock part - not very easy to get to! Couple more repair patches and that side is done When one VW lives on, another dies lol Next is the passenger arch which is much tidier, just a little rot... in the usual place Been battering on Bilt Hamber rust convertor where I can, next will be epoxy mastic, seam sealer and lots of gravitex.

If any admin reads this, please can you move to "members motors"? Cheers! Been plodding along ****e old VWs :( At that point I dropped the beam as I wanted to give it a little love. I've been meaning to disassemble the brakes and lube them up for ages so it sort of seemed a good time Also, after some **** nuggets changed some brake lines, the rear passenger brake wasn't working properly and I couldn't bleed it :i_dont_kn I did have the rear wheel bearings done on my last MOT..... so I guess somebody has already had the carrier bolts off, but much to my suprise I found this Kind of glad I did drop the axle as I also found this!

Very nice. Bit of colour coding works wonders.... I made the awful mistake of metal flaking my 1.8T... but I still have a tub of flake left so I may make the same mistake again lol Keeep 'em coming
-
Ahh yes, I last drove mine in November 2014 too..... and it's my daily :bh The V6 isn't for the 'Rado anyway lol
-
ooh very clean! Just found this... yikes....
-
Just got my first VR6! yay  I'm sure there was a "show off your VR6 engine" thread but I can't find it... So, Let's see some pics of how you've sexied yours or any other awesome ones you've seen. Before anybody says "whats's the point you won't see it - I haven't got a bonnet so I will! :dorky: Here's mine full unsexiness.
-
uuugh bonnet all flatted back, think that took 6-7h :bh quick jizz of epoxy mastic to protect / seal few other wee spots of previously poor prep blasted and a weird chip in the roof too troublesome little patch here- didn't really want to take the window out so sprayed that with a little sand too - not brilliant though some more rot needs a bit of patching but with the speed blasted metal rusts at I painted it for now, along with two scabby bits on the boot Wheel arches & subframe next! Should really have done this in the project section lol
-
So that mean the old girl was parked up for a bit.... which meant the ongoing window leaky problem I had manifested.... Turned out somebody didn't put any sealant in when they put the screen in!!!! So then I pulled every thing out to dry and seal it all once and for all. Blasted the windscreen surround to get rid of the nasty pitted bits few places had gone though, which I have welded new steel into, before epoxying.
-
It was being well used, then this happened :( luckily the little ****ers were foiled by the antitheft devices :)
-
Then rims got some loving after I hit a pot hole God they are horrible these pretend wheels Didn't think there was much point in putting new plastic bolts back in lol Then a fluid change!
-
but taking the risk of paying somebody else to do something - Net result, melted CV boot!! So needed to do that added cruise control and some alternative fuel supply Then cruised about on veg for 15,000 miles
-
Then a new loom for the headlights Also fitted new Daybreakers and LED sidelights. The old sidelights were black!
-
Been a bit pony at updating this, so I thought I would lol I 4x4'd it for a bit Then de 4x4'd it for a bit Then after the new spings and shocks, new track rod ends, wish bones ball joints etc
