-
I stuck a bit of double sided on mine also, just for peace of mind.

why not use black marker pen on the sunroof switch!

An A**hole to get out tho, thats what I did origially but thought I knew better didn't I! I dont know why they dont just copy the original carrier, they did for the boot lid lights! Word of advise, if ya bulbs ever need replacing dont use Phillips Silver vision bulbs cos they arent really silver, just slightly tinted and DO NOT do what they say on the tin, I still have fried eggs at the back their just less obvious :x

Well it was getting a bit dark by the time I found the prob so I havent had chance to play around with them. I was gonna do the same as you but as the new lenses have a clear indicator I need orange bulbs and I cant find any that fit. The existing bulbs and carriers have the pegs opposite each other yet on the new carriers they are at more like 90 degrees and all I knid find are the bulbs of the same format. I guess I'll have to have a bit of a play tonight.

Ok, so I hooked up my Inpro tail lights with the very helpful suggestion from Henny about crimping male spade connectors on to the wires from the new carriers. The earth is simple enough and I thought the rear lights, breaks and indicators were gonna be as well until i tested everything and the right indicator is considerably more dull than the left and one of the brake light filaments on both sides flashes with the indicators :? What am I doing wrong?

I've been looking in to this a lot at the moment as I want replace both mine and I have struggled to see much difference between the two. I hear though that the later wings sit slightly higher than the early ones to compensate for the face lifted bonnet (which makes sense). Only problem is you need to put it on the car to find out.

Timing chains + Clutch £650.00 + VAT at Stealth Racing. Might give you some sort of guide.
-
Steve, from where did you get them, stealers?
-
Have you checked the torque of the wheel nuts. Im not trying to insult your intelligence but its always best to eliminate the simple things first.

You filth bag! Bear with me i'll see what I can do.

You can get momo gaiters that have a screw thread in inside the top so they just screw staright in to the bottom of the knob. They are far to long though (about twice the length) whats more you will have difficulty fitting it in to the surround cos the original is glued in. I have had to do a big ass custom job on mine. I will put some pics up at some point but I have a way to go yet. I dunno, all this knobs and screwing, somone is having a good laugh at our expense!

I cant beleive that we still live in a world where pricks like that still get away with this s**t. Tell me where he lives i'll go round and make him wish he'd died as a child!

Trigger, get ya self to stealth in coventry ask anyone, its worth the drive, so long as ya chains dont go on the way up there. That would suck. Mines finally going in for the works on 3rd Oct. Peace of mind, here we come. :-P

Does anyone have a copy of the above mentioned edition of Top Gear cos I havent seen it and would really llike to??!!

Too right! Racing isnt just about how fast ya car is. Its how well you know your car and moreover how big your b******s are! Figurativley speaking of course.
-
Personally I like that noise!

It is just a cover basically, its attached to the bumper bar held in by 4 bolts under the car (two either side) so you'll need to jack it up . Give em a tighten and see if it improves. There are 3 bolts either side in total, be sure to leave the middle ones alone.

I couldnt beleive it myself, i in all fairness he was having trouble keeping the front wheel down which probably didnt help. Still fun to watchb tho! Steve - No

I went along to East coast exteme at the week end, not much there really and a bit too 'chav' for my liking but.... I did watch a Mustang GT beat the pants off a hayabusa on the 1/4 mile drag!! Thats one quick car!

Audi TT Knob and gaitor? Im not sure how much of the TT interior you need to graft tho. Not really my cup of tea but if you want something noticably different its worth thinking about.
