  1. So does the inner partt of the OE bumper just pull out?
  2. Sorry are you saying the inner skin of the OE bumper with the clips on comes out and I can bond that to the new bumper? Also the fogs and indicators dont quite fit in the recesses in the RS bumper, any ideas??
  3. Can somone please tell me how non OE bumpers are fitted to the bumper bar. I have one to go on but after spraying would like to give it a go my self rather than pay somone to do whatis for the most part a simple enough job.
  4. When i grilled him about it he said it doesn't make any difference.
  5. It is the front bearings and im getting the alignment done anyway. I just didn't want to run the risk of having the bearings go in a couple of months (as is my luck) and have to get them done screwing up the laser alignment. I am getting some nice shiny new carrier bolts, shock absorber bolts and brake sheilds, all to go on with the bearings, so i just want it all done at once. I was hoping it would be necessary to expose the hubs in order to do the bushes anyway, cutting down on the extra labour time.
  6. damn it! how do i get myself in to these things Steve, As far as the rear bushes are concerned i would hope vince will have included that possibility in the quote. As for the bearings if im looking at any more than a couple of extra hours labour might be best to leave them mate. Surely they'll need to do most of the work to swapping the bushes over is it really gonna be that much more to do the bearings??
  7. Trying to get an idea of how much cash im gonna need for the work im having done at stealth next week. About £500 for bushes front and rear, laser alignment and some other small bits. Forgot to mention bearing tho so if i take some down with me how much extra labour should i expect?
  8. That's where im getting the rears from but the front kit I think is gonna work out cheaper from Awesome. Kev - I know what you mean she's a bit of a bone shaker. Im still adjusting the CO's most weekends to try and get a good compromise. Just wanted to get some feedback as im gonna get Vince to fit em when I go for camber and alignment shananigans. Looked like you were havin fun in the traffic this morning mate!
  9. Ok I have looked on the search and there is loads of info about bushes whether OEM is better than poly at the rear depending on comfort/handling preferences etc. What I really want to know is firstly are powerflex any good better/worse than VT? Trying to decide what to go for?? Secondly do they vary across the range, do I need to specify VR6. Poweflex have 2 different part numbers for the rears at the same price with no explaination as to why. Also the rear kit comprises only of rear beam mounting bushes, anything else I need at the rear? Discuss?
  10. I figured that was just the make, cant find anywhere that sells them. Anyone got a link?
  11. Where did you get yours from Kev?

i've gotta side with jenks on this one, normally I hate them with a seething passion, every car I see with this mod looks like dogs**t, but ya know what somehow i think it suits the C, at least in that pic. I dont think I would do it personally tho. I wonder how many people who would slag that mod off have and eyebrow spolier or similar fitted, it's not that drastically different....mmmm
  13. I have one of these yet to go on just wondering, how did you secure the bumper to the bumper bar, did it come with all the clips on the inside cos mine didn't. Plus did you have any problems with the fogs cos I have put mine on the car just to check it fits ok but the fogs are a very tight fit!
  14. Someone i used to work with brushed the pile of his carpets all the same way and used to curse any one who moved there feet about messing up his work whilst in the car. Somone else I know only listens to his stereo on even volume settings! I like to keep a clean car and god forbid anyone who drops food os drink in it (who remembers the start of Badboys, ' my s**t cant get down there, an' when it does it gets stuck'. Smoking in banned too as are muddy feet but come on people. Lining up seat and heater controls is just weird :?
  15. Would not a smaller master cylinder counteract this problem?

thanks chaps, The rear n/s sensor is new and ive done both front brakes, i'll see what the vagcom comes up with and go from there. Bloody sensors! always let you down when your saving up for something else.

i dont think there is anything wrong with mine, i think its the sensors as the light has only started coming on since i have been messing about with my brakes. Its just odd cos its intermittant?? I just saw the one on ebay and thought as no one had bid on it i could get one dirt cheap, and bearing in mind the cost from the stealers.......

  23. please tell me you mean £1500 not £15000!!! you could give kevhaywire's supercharger mod a go! might work out a bit cheaper but the remap is the real arse!
