  2. Hi Everyone, dubforce.net have just launched a new section to our site. The Photochop section. So all you budding artist in the VW world can share your work weather amateur or pro. Here one I made earlier of my G60 but squashed.. Click here to join in. Otherwise hope it made you laugh :D
  3. Well heres a taster; More images found http://www.dubforce.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=1467&hl=
  4. I personally hate people driving around with fog lights on when not foggy and other traffic is around. The reason being fog lights are not directional like your headlights so oncoming traffic get an eyefull dazzling you, pottentialy leading to an accident and generally being inconsiderate to other drivers. I do agree its a good idea to have lights on (side lights) as poeple are more likely to notice you while you zooming up to them, hence I always drive with my sides on.
  5. Probably someone passing the other way setting it off.. Dont worry about it. BUT do make a note of the time and the place and any other details just incase something does come through.
  6. Where are you based mate and who did you take the charger to..?!
  7. Before I modified my Golf G60 got the time of 15.75 at inters. This is totaly std with the orig charger that had never been serviced a 100,000 Miles also the Intercooler had a broken channel.. Now I have modified it a bit (68mm Normal Pulley, Overhauled charger, SNS Chip, Fixed Intercooler, New Boost Hoses, New Leads, Induction Kit) and managed to get 14.8 at GTi Festial (santa-pod) a few weeks ago.
  8. I have had my Golf G60 up to an indicated 240kph (149Mph) so I think yours is about right. I am not sure of the RPMs involved but I know its near the end of the scale.. My car has a 68mm Pulley and K&N Panel with SNS chip (no 3.5FPR or ISV Check). But my car being a golf is lighter and is also pretty slammed. Oh and what the speed limit in Portugal..?
  9. Nice pics mate? Just a pity the last one was obscured by inconsiderate tight assed ladies! 8) ;)
  10. On my Golf G60 Airbox I just took a small saw to the tube and sawed it off...
  11. So you notice a lot of difference after the rebuild..?
  12. If no-one else will insure you then go for Tesco as they insure anybody on any car.. I had to do this on my first year of Golf G60 (LHD) ownership as no-one else would touch me (I was 23 with 1 years ncb) and ended up paying £1400!! Now a year later with an extra years NCB, I am insured with Greenlight insurance at £800 Fully Comp. :D Go -->Here for some insurance discoount :D
  13. You cant get 60mph out of the G60 gearbox unless you grab 3rd. So that slows you down. Plus I think you have to change early as the 8v head dont flow to well above 5.5k RPM so you stop accelerating as hard.
  14. They are supposed to be hard to get going as the clutch is a b1tch. But once moving..
  15. I did this by myself at the weekend. I left the wheel on then jacked it up then wedged a peice of wood (part of a railway sleeper) between the floor and the tyre.. Bit of a pain but if theirs only one person its ideal.
  16. Get them from German & Swedish (GSF) link can be found --> here.
  17. If you are going to get it ported you may as well get that done before the pulley whil the chargers apart. You can then simply add the smaller pulley at a later date.. Means you only take the charger apart once so will be cheaper as well..
  18. I have the plate H20 GGO strainght from the DVLA fro £250. Reads H20 G60 ie Watercooled G60 :D
  19. co2 is not good for the getting performance out of your engine as it dosplaces oxygen. This article shows some guys doing a dyno with and without the co2 cooling. Read this --> http://cryofuzion.com/spraybar.htm

  25. Cheers for having a look Henny and taking the picture. Just had a look on etka and it seems that the rad size is 150mm difference. ('rado 430mm, Golf 580mm). The Golf IC is 550mm according to etka. Has the 'rado radiator got any hole on the front side that match up with the screw holes on the Golf IC..? If it has, then a braket for the other side could be made.. I have seen people using huge jubille clips to attach an IC to the front of a rad. But would not like to do that as you are bound to damage the IC or Rad or even both.. Henny I dont suppose you have given much thought to how you are going to fit yours as of yet
