Not sure to be honest. He was spouting soo much numbers and details and years i got soo lost. But he was positive that a 2litre would accelerate better and go faster, more mid range as well. Think cos i was in shirt and tie, that he would BS me a bit and take piss with loadsa crap to get me lost, he has a point but still not nice.

1. Any one heard of 'premier motors' in skelmersdale or know of a reputation ( NE of Liverpool ) ? 2. Anybody live near there and want to earn a tenner ( you have to be free monday about 4-5 pm ish ) ? 3. thnx anyway guys :( no i copied and pasted, but didnt get the original copy right so kinda messed up. Going for a jetta cos for the 1.8 GTi valver its about 250 cheaper on average, and so is the insurance so.... :( got a golf now that is as dead as a dodo, will be giving it away in here in a month or 2 i think, project or spares, up to you guys. live to fight another day, or some optimistical shit like that :cry:

What engine is in there ? Stil the VR6 ( or 16valver ? :) ) or translplanted drag engine ?

WAHEY !! at last, my first engine part to play with. I have just bought a Golf 16v head off of ebay, its in good condition, NO wear at all. So with a mate we are intending to strip it down, clean it up, probably port an polish it, and reassemble with fresh oil as a project. Any tips or appropriate URL's that any one has in their fav's ?

I heard that HDi = Horizontal Diesel injection, so more of a gimmick, but dont quote me on that !

Twice my dad has got done for minoe speeding. Both times he got a letter informing him, both times he refused to pay until he saw a photo proving it was him ( as there is more than one person insured for that vehicle ), so he asked for the photo. This went on for a long time as the police said that they couldnt provide a photo until it went to court. HE still refused, eventually they gave in and sent the photo, it was that dark that it didnt show who was driving. So he replied saying that he wasnt going to pay unless they took him to court. -- I AM NOT SAYING THIS WILL WORK -- but there has to be something to it because he has done it twice in the last year. Might be worth a go. Dont refuse to pay, just put it off until you see proof !
