Having to re wrap most of the loom because its wrapped in this stuff at the minute which literally turns to dust when you touch it

So everything is now smooth and black like new

Made myself a grinding station and set to work on everything that was cruddy

ok I'll do a bit of an update on here and then stick a few pics on tonight using the tapatalk. gearbox is now back on with manifold and 90% of everything else, just need to plumb a pipe or two and then re-connect the wiring which thanks to my labelling skills should be dead easy. got my hubs and everything back with new bearings pressed in, used my crowfoot spanner to get the inner tie rods off so i can get the new ones on, so everything is motoring along jobs still to do, figure out how to get the drivers side drive shaft off so i can do both boots. figure out how to remove/install droplinks because they are confusing me refurb all 4 calipers refit everything then drive somewhere to loosen the nuts on the strut tops because they aint budging !! put it all back together and get an MOT all in time for stanford hall a week on sunday !! tune in this evening for more pics

Well, this stalled for a while because i broke my leg for the second time in three months but it seems to be getting better so should be able to crawl around the car in a week or so. Im actually giddy with excitement at the minute, ordered new coilovers last night as the deal with a member on here didnt work out, and ive just spent another shedload on all parts to do the timing chains and clutch, a few gaskets and loads of stuff i cant remember now. Bought a support beam to do the work so fingers crossed barring another leg break this car should be in pieces this weekend.

Dammit !! my girlfriends sister lives in Barnsley and she was up there at the weekend !! can i pay for it and you hold on to it for a week or two ? she might be going up there again in the next few weeks. If she doesn't end up going I'll just pay you for the postage ?

So for anyone thats interested there have been a few issues with the car and things i want to get done and it just seems like every job leads to another so i was starting to think this car was above my pay grade, what with a new house and trying to get married and all that stuff so i seriously considered selling up and getting something cheaper/boring and reliable/boring. Until i just decided stuff it, i would stick with it. Ive done the rear brakes and bearings but now need to do the fronts, on top of that stuff i have sitting in the garage - new ball joints and full track rods inner and outer, so hopefully when that lots on it should transform the car as at the minute it has ticked over 150k and unfortunately it feels like a high mileage car. engine is fine but the other stuff is doing my head in. I'm also hoping to get a set of coils soon from a member on here which will help it along, when i do that i will install new top mounts - i already have some 16" bbs reps to go on when its dropped (I cant afford the genuine stuff so reps will have to do) The clutch has started slipping and the battery has died - already got a new battery to go on, but need to get a clutch and i'll do the chains while I'm at it, once thats done i should be happy. For a while. So in the next month or 2 i should have a proper car :thumbleft:

I had iphones for years, upgraded to a z1. Biggest. Regret. Ever. It just aint the same, constant problems, and the camera thats supposed to be amazeballs just frustrates me. Its a nightmare to get it to focus at times, usually when im grabbing it for a quick pic. And i just cant get used to the way it operates, maybe the apple setup just clicked with me i dont know but i flipping hate this phone

£100-140 ish? I thought people might have done what i planned on doing and got some JOM type coils and uprated later on and then had their cheapo ones sat around, wishful thinking i think.

Tired of the sky high ride height on my Rado and planning on refurbishing the front end soon so wanted to get some coils on there so i can get an alignment done all in one go. anything cheap or needing refurbishment thanks :thumbleft: Sam
