You da man Phil, much appreciated. I ended up mailing a dude on ebay whos sorting me out good whole shooting match. I'm dead chuffed they're both grey items, won't look too out of place until I can afford the body shop work in July. Well unless I fit that dragon green door on the passenger side  Wasn't somebody talking about making a harlequin rado at one point?? :D

That or you and a friend could bump it round out of the way, whats the worst that can happen - the alarm go off  ;)

You ever have one of those days where you just shouldn't have got out of bed? Sigh, yep today. Long and the short of it, had a van glance off of the side of me :( That'll learn me for not paying attention. [web]http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/album_pic.php?pic_id=661[/web] Still, it's going back up on the ramps for the work I've had planned for weeks and I've just sourced a door and a wing (the driver's side is rusted to hell around the indicator) in met grey from a 90 valver (how handy??) so it's not all doom and gloom... :) Just hope my mate at the bodyshop is gentle on my wallet!

I hate having to pay for things like that. Two schools of thought on it though - 1. - YOU sheared it, YOU fix it buddy. 2. - "Well, it would've sheared if you did it too... " Very difficult to call as you'd never see the state of the bolt before they started attacking it, by the same token you'd never see the steps they'd take to get it out. Grinder/torch/voodoo etc..

Wicked, they can have my lump off me when I get shot of it then! :D edit - they probably wouldn't in retrospect. the diesel burns less oil ;)

*mental note* do not treat stings and bites with the above. by the same token, do not expect a highly polished finish on brake callipers from something in a blue tube with white writing.

we got an angle grinder with a wire brush attachment. then used autosalve (i think that's how it's spelt) metal polish to shine them up.

I've been told that the JVC KDG611 is quite a nice one for the money. It's got 3 pre outs, and aux in on the back and front, remote control etc.. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... eName=WDVW

Ah I got blanked by a black/dark purple VR M plate on the A3 this morning too, pfft. :|

Love that sunset pic up there, very nice :D Gonna add that to me "sunrise/set wall" in me office methinks.

Not yet, want to see the state of the bits I've got coming before I call them up. I'm picking that stuff up on Monday night, so I'll probably drop them a line on Tuesday. :D

That's not too bad considering! I'd spec'd £300 so far on head parts alone, without the flowing. If it's going to be that sort of money for someone else to do it, I might as well... Also, get some come back that way too. :D
-
beeftech - did you gasflow that head yourself? also, did it benefit from a rebuild? ta

Speak to Darren at g-werks. His name on here is g-man:D

DOES 40MM DROP MAKE ANY VISABLE DIFF ON A 13 YEAR OLD G60
randal replied to bullockm's topic in Drivetrain
LOL - quiet the opposite on mine. Bloody thing looks like a 4x4 at the moment, roll on tomorrow for the new shocks + 40mm drop. I'll post a before/after pic when it's done. -
and Beeftech too, he's just dyno'd his at 168bhp. Gas flowed head, 4 branch, schrick cams and a good tuning IIRC...

Would a block in the coolant system start giving you problems like this? Also, I take it yer fan kicks in when things start getting really toasty? Sounds like a real pain in the wotsit mate, hope you get it sorted soon.

Here's hoping the blasters will have enough savvy to twig! The thought of picking several kilos of mangled metal and paint doesn't fill me with much joy... :?
-
Sweeeeet. Well, I've just sourced some parts to shot blast/coat too. Ooo, today is shaping up nicely. :D
-
Nice one :D So, shot blasting to get rid of all the crap and then powder coating for the finish? Or is it something to do with how the powder coat attaches itself to the surface that means it has to be shot blasted? Cheers again!

bend the ends of the IC up :D (ok maybe not!)

I wasn't aware that cars could grin, but it certainly looks like yours is :D Do like the looks of that. I totally hear what you are saying about finances recovering. I think I'm cancelling Christmas this year, and postponing all birthdays between here and there!
