  1. One thing I'll say with reagrds to more power out of the valver: Search is your friend for this one. This topic has been brought up umpteen times, and thus there is a whole lot of information about it.
  2. Displacement was increased to make up for the CAT on the later valvers, same BHP on both lumps though.
  3. Saw that on Friday at Junction 9 on the M25, getting off before the poxy traffic. 3 takers, blimey.
  4. Think that looks spot on Joe, very nice :)
  5. Joe, I'm too lazy so I copy+pasted the BBC website: Ferrari apparently make good bed fellows...
  6. you can take the clocks out with the steering wheel in situ, 4 screws hold the shroud around the clock in place. then there's a screw either side at the top securing the clocks. the locate on rubber legs at the bottom, so you might have to give them a wee yank to get them out. to get access to the speedo cable, and the multi-plug you are probably best taking out the shelving under the dash and going up from underneath. it's bloody tight, so expect scraped knuckles and raw arms. :( once you've got the clocks out they come apart easy enough, the bulbs are just twist fit holders - and you can get replacement bulbs from halfrauds or maplins. hth 8-)
  7. Could be just a conincidence that both LCD bulbs have gone?
  8. Hey hey, bet that put a smile on your face :) Glad to hear you've got some kind of resolution, albeit potentially at your expense next year. Fingers crossed though mate. ta
  9. I've been eying those 6600GT's for a while now, biggest reason being their SLI compatibility. Hows the performance Jim? What was the damage on the HT leads OSV? Do they have a 4 cyl flavour too?
  10. bit of a bummer, but surely you can just "rough up" the surface you've polished? edit - beat me to it! :)
  11. neat 8-) going to get mine this weekend, looking forward to getting stuck in now.
  12. You should be able to rig that up easily enough using the "[web]" tag. You get another rado then TAFKACW?
  13. Yep, that's whats keeping me going. Way I see it, I get my rusty indicator fixed, scratch on driver's door and crease on passenger door and dodgy respray on rear quarter all taken care of in one hit. Plus I'm getting my passat handles resprayed properly this time! Sim, chin up mate. It may seem like doom, gloom and needless expense - but in the long run it's worth the hassle. I hope you find the ****** that did the damage too!
  14. IIRC with damage like that they drill holes in the panel and use hooks to pull the panel back out, then fill accordingly. I've just been quoted 180 quid to fix the damage on mine, although I had to source a new door (and wing while I was there as it was rusty) so all in I think it's about 350 to sort everything. Here's the damage on mine: [web]http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/album_pic.php?pic_id=661[/web]
  15. Depends on a couple of things really. Are you going to go through your insurance company being the main one, second - do you know anyone who can sort out bodywork? I'm just going through a similar situation at the moment, and although it's not that serious an amount of damage - I still think my insurance company would write it off given half a chance. Here's to mate's rates in the bodyshop :)
  16. Revolutionary new design that doesn't require a physical strap/harness. The vehicle uses the driver's fear to keep them rooted to the seat.
  17. Damn, beat me to it! (although i am uber-lame with numbers  ) Either way, blimey - that would be a pant-changing experience. Group buy? :D
  18. http://www.members.optusnet.com.au/~aed ... er/ATV.htm Anyone know the BHP of that lump, I'd love to know the power to weight ratio!
  19. Ah crap, 4K to go on mine... ...and now I've tightened up the front end, the back end is really sloppy - think the culprit is obvious. Woo. Good post with some good info, handy. :D
  20. that or you've got a short somewhere. i'd check all the fuses relating to ignition and dash stuff, there's a full listing in the handbook if you've still got it - otherwise i'll grab mine and read em out. failing that, i'm 99.9% sure someone on here knows them off the top of their head :D it's really cosy behind the stereo, bit of a nightmare - but i'll be surprised if theres any ignition wires behind there. if it was the ignition switch/wires you probably wouldn't even be getting what you're seeing already.
  21. eh up, Do you hear the fuel pump kicking in when you turn the key? Have you checked all the fuses? ta

Ah who knows, maybe you'll have more success than me. :D I think you do have to change the sender for the presure though...

    Fitting Gauges

Yep, those senders are sh*te. Mine did the same, peeing out oil much to the neighbour's disgust. Trouble is, I've replaced it with a GSF knock off that does nothing but beep at me. Go for the VAG part, peace of mind and well... PEACE!
