g60 charger swap for something like a merc or bmw mini?

yeah, im not after uprating, just reliability as my g60 has gone pop (luckily not put anything into the block) and g60 chargers are hard to come by, where as minis are everywhere, but would it be as simple as unbolt g60 bolt on m45 and new belt? -
hey all, my supercharger decided to crack itself in a couple of places and grind itself up at the sametime, so i want to swap it out with something else as a new one under £1k is hard to come by, could i use one off a mini or a merc with little modification? or maybe know where i can get a charger from?

Hey all, got a 91 g60 based on the earlier design, and ive developed a clunk when i go around yhe bends both sides do it, so jacked it up and i can wobble the wheels via yhr top mounts in thr bay, i am running vr6 tops and cups instead of the normal g60 ones as i was told they are better. What would people suggest to get top mount wise? But while i was pulling on the wheels to make sure the bearings hadnt gone, i could rotate the drivers wheel a little bit really softly and got a clunk, did the same the other side and i could hear a loud clunk from the diff, i am now worried my diff has gone bump or going because i have an mot due mid month I did pull the track rods and drive shafts to see if i have any place and they are solid too I will try and upload vids to help show what i mean yo both problems

what do you have to do to fit a disco cooler? i've read it's smaller than a sprinter and apparently only needs one hole drilling in the slam panel to fit?

hey all, how do i clean my intercooler? im thinking of getting some jizer and filling it, but i don't know how to take it off, i know how to remove the rubber pipes off in the top of the bay from the charger and manifold, but thats as far as i get i've heard it's four bolts for the ic itself, but do the plastic pipes get removed too? are they on rubbers at the other end? if so i had a feel round the bottom closest side to the gear box and it was a tad oily (so thinking of changing the pipes too) but as i said not a clue how to remove it, if it's on rubbers etc

Hey all, alot of new vags are coming with tsi engines, in theory i cant see why you cant put a turbo onto aswell as running a g60, other than swapping the chip and putting in a better intercooler, i cant see why it wont work anyone done this or know anyone done this? Thinking would be a cool mod

hey all, i think i've already asked this question my car gets nice and toasty with in a few mins of being on, but as the engine gets upto temp the heating cuts out (guessing cos of the bypass valve) i've heard about swapping it out for 22mm copper pipes and kinking in the middle to restrict flow, if i put my foot down hard and get the engine temp to drop below mid way heating kicks in. what are peoples opinions on doing this? and when im sitting in traffic i can't hear my fan going and i have watched my engine temp hit over 110 the other day and nothing, got home, i can hear it kick in but then starts squeaking, so im gonna swap it out for an uprated, but i have seen on a couple of websites, a thermostat kit that includes a 73c stat and temp sensor to kick the fan in sooner, would this help with my over heating issue and possibly help keep engine temp down enough to keep heater on?

hey all, im thinking of wide tracking my 91 g60 but want to keep the 4 stud, is this the correct list of parts needed? mk3 16v/vr6 subframe " " wishbones " " trackrods+ends " " rear axle " " drive shafts rear stub axles from mine front hubs already put on the early vr6 top plates and mounts to springs

My 91 g60 seems to be down on power abit, i can be beat off the line by 1.4s which is embarissing then all kicks in, feels torquy, i know charger dont kick in straight away but i could be reving to put boost in let the clutch go and revs drop right off then picks up idle is crap, when cold tick over is just under 1k, when warmed its just over is that normal? Fuel seems to be dissapearing quickly, im doing over 30mpg but driving from mine to mrs (4miles) to shops (8miles) then back to mine i went from half a tank to quater, and normally it doesnt touch it that much, normally to first line after half tank mark. Water temp when idling sometimes goes past 110 and fan doesnt kick in, get moving and it drops but heater cuts off when gets to engine gets to about 85 (it does have a heater bypass valve) but shouldnt make a difference, maybe failed temp sensor? Rad fan noisy when engine turned off and sometimes doesnt kick in at all, starts to squeak and rattle, no broken fins so thinking motor on its way out, best fan to replace it with? I dont fancy chopping into wires if i can help it unless it is really gonna help with the cooling.

from what i've been told pagid are an oem equivealent, same as my golf, they are just crap, work great, but as soon as you get them a tad too warm they just dont bite as much from there on, i really dont like it, where with ebc ultimax or greenstuff, they felt great even through harsh braking

what are the best pads to get for a 91 g60 on the front? i've had ebc ultimax and greenstuff, had standard pagid, delphi, autex, i love the ebc stuff (had both on my golf) but i just don't know what to get, im looking at about £50 mark, i've been looking at ebc greenstuff (again, cos they gave a great bite which made me feel like i was going to stop) or black diamond predators (don't know what they are like). but what pads are out there that people recommend?

hey all, i have purchased some mont blanc roof bars, i have found the rear mounting points easily, the front ones are they the two lumps under the front doors? as my instructions are crap, they say mount the front one 350mm from where the door meets the rear window to the front, and then from between rear door and window to the rear 140mm, but that puts you past the mounting point and then they sit too close together (with where the instructions say to mount) instructions for fitting on link http://www.montblancgroup.com/media/upload/pdf/229020.pdf

hey all, does anyone have the part numbers for the side strips for a 91 g60? mine are marked from front to back on both sides and the rest of the body work looks really good, just them letting it down :(

does anyone know where i can get a set of roof bars for my 91 g60? i've seen some made by summit, but want some that fit under the front doors and into the top of the rear window seals preferably, short roof adaptors if i must :/

hey all, i want a stiffer suspension on my g60 (to stop it rolling onto it's door handles), but don't want a drop, i don't want to change dampers, just the springs, i do have early and late vr spring plates so can run pretty much anything whats about? im struggling to find anything

whats the best settings for tracking and camber? my tracking is nearly 0.0, but my camber is about -1.5 each side (does handle amazingly well when i chuck it in) but i went the best for fast road/tootaling along, as im running yoko tyres and don't want to kill the insides too much

i do love my corrado (even more so it had a powerflow system on it now) but it's not just saxo's that have them on, it's old people, 4x4, jags, it's annoying as hell, and i don't want to blind the rest of the drivers by sticking my full beams on (cos 120% brighter than standard bulbs) just cos some muppet has his on any one know what type of bulb they are? 453 (h3) or a 448 (h1)?

yeah, i just had a look at duty tax, no charges to get it in, and will cost me £90.70 that includes shipping too
