that was the plan to run one relay per light, but i was just gonna do the dipped beam as im running 100w bulbs happily on the full beam and don't want the extra power and that corrado looks like it just needs a wash and a good polish ;)
-
hey all, i know this has been done to death, i've found all the instructions and diagrams, everyone suggested a 30amp fused realy, but could i use this one? reason im asking is, the relay is fused to 40amp but continuous running 30amp, would i then have to run a fuse inline too? http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_756415_langId_-1_categoryId_255229

does sound good, i was looking at my spare bbs (while trying to stop it knocking in the wheel well) and it had et33 pre stamped into it, so maybe 5mm spacers needed? and i was looking at just abit more poke on the rear
-
ah that should be good, i don't want to mod it too much as it looks factory, know any good sites to get them from? as i would want to get hub centric spacers and bolts to go with? and is that 8mm all round?
-
hey all, im looking at getting some spacers on my 91 g60 on the original bbs alloys, only want to go abit wider to fill the arches better, what do people recommend?
-
vw moved the water pump? mine i think is still on the front of the block so what can i do to remove the heater bypass valve? i read somewhere a couple pieces of copper pipe with a small kink in to restrict flow, but i want the best option i can do
-
i will have to have a look, the car isn't far from 108k, so i don't wanna cook the block, but on my mk2 golf i did take the cap off, rev the engine and top it up as i had to and that never had an air lock after i did that
-
hey all, i know this has been asked alot, but im having problems with my heater i can start the car, heat comes out in a few seconds, water temp shows between 70 and 110, and it starts to blow cool air then cold, i turn the heat off for a few mins and then back on and heat comes back for a few seconds, water level is at constant max level even after a long run (i check to make sure of no leaks of any kind), i have no puddles anywhere in or around the car, i have read it could be an air lock or leak, but level is constantly at max, if it's an air lock how would i get rid of it? cap off heater on full and let it circulate?

any grade of oil in particular that should be used?

hey all, i have just purchased a 91 g60, and want to know what would be the best sort of upgrades to keep it going? i've read there is a problem with the wipers lifting at about 60mph and to replace with the lupo flat blades and that the timing belt bolt can snap and to replace with a 1.8 gti mk1 bolt
-
lol, you do sound like one, but you an old fart who knows their **** right then, making the charger more reliable? i've seen a wide belt pully 11mm instead of 9, does it go straight on like they say? and i've seen a 19mm wide belt and pulleys but apparently the belt fowls on the bracket, would it be worth spending extra money on going 19mm and having the charget bolt further into the centre of the bay?
-
also heard about swapping the supercharger for an eaton, but i keep seeing, mini, mercs and jags, what sort of power gains do you get from an eaton?
-
ah okie, the swg one i looked at, it replaced the original box, but goes to both sides of the charger so the breather is removed (which im unsure about because taking away a small oil feed) but gives 6bhp up, could i replace the filter with a k&n? because i love the whine they give off and i want to bring that out
-
hey all, i want to know what would be the best starting mods on a g60 91 to increase the bhp? i don't really want to change the pulley and chip yet due to car having 107k miles on it and i can't afford to get the charger refurbed any sooner than it has to be so what would be the best few? exhaust will be custom made by powerflow, and what sort of filter would be best to get? i've been looking at an swg motorsport one with the standard air box (to look simpler)
-
ah okie, so was sold in the uk as left hand drive, but then converted to right hand drive possibly at an extra cost time of sale? the one im looking at has had one previous owner and is currently in a private traders hands
-
this one is a 91, so could have been sold as lhd and swapped to rhd?
-
thats what i thought, if you go on parkers.co.uk and go to corrado, it says g60 lhd and g60, then 2.9 and 2.9 storm, so im confused as hell, cos i work for halfords, i ran the reg through my computer and it says "volkswagen corrado g60 lhd, none import" which to me suggests the car was made for the uk market, and if i google it, the obvious comes up and so im confused as hell
-
hey all, just want to know what the difference(s) are between a g60 and a g60 lhd? reason i ask is parkers list to versions with no info on other than engine, the car im looking at is a lhd, but right hand drive, so im confused to hell as to what the specs are for each.
-
hey all, what oil would i use on a g60 91, will it be 10w40? car has 107 on the clock
-
Hey all, im looking at purchasing a 91 g60, but I don't know they handle or drive, I currently drive a golf mk2 1.6 driver with coilovers and an upper brace on the front. I would like to know what people think in comparison to my mk2 (other than the power) on how they are as a daily, abit of info on the chassis, interior, possible engine problems? the one im looking at has done about 107k miles, had one owner since new, full service history (but nothing to say when the charger was last looked at), the car has been pressure tested all round. (price will be dropped a little due to lack of charger information) anyone know of a company in the midlands that would be able to do it?
