Here for sale is my 94 Corrado VR6 in ice violet grey. This colour was a one year only option and so is quite uncommon. The car is very clean for its age and currently sits at 147000 miles which should not go up from that as I do not really use it any more. MOT until November 2017 The engine is strong and pulls really well, no signs of any faults what so ever. I am unsure whether the chains have been done previously however I have not done them myself during my ownership of the car. (I have only covered around 4000 miles since 2014). I have however given it a few services since purchasing so it has been kept in a healthy condition. I have added a few modifications to the car since purchasing the car in 2014 as follows: Lowered on adjustable coilovers Smoothed and resprayed front bumper Tinted rear windows HEKO wind deflectors added to windows US rear tub with sized numberplate Crystal rear lights and side repeaters Leather heated seats (loom and switch not currently installed but will be given with sale) Polished manifold and painted cover Bad Bits - The car has been classed as a cat D write off as in 2014 I had it parked outside my house and someone who lives opposite reversed out and hit into the passenger side wing. All that happened was the wing was dented but unfortunately due to the age of the car the insurance did not see it as a viable option to fix and so wrote it off. The damage was so minor that I actually managed to pop the majority of the dent out myself (the paint wasn't even damaged by the bump). There is still a bit of an indent there however I believe that if a professional dent removal company had a look at it they would be able to get out the majority no problem and it wouldn't even look like anything happened to the car. The car had been sat for 2 years in my garden under a cover as I had not been using it and unfortunately from the wind causing the cover to move against the paint a small patch has appeared on the bonnet where the lacquer has been worn through. Usual electrical gremlins exist as is common for the Corrado (spoiler does not automatically pop up at 50mph, electric mirrors do not work, sunroof does not work.) I actually swapped over the fuse box a couple of years ago as the old one was causing problems which did allow the sunroof to start working but then found out a cable had snapped on the mechanism. After finding this out I swapped the sunroof mech for a new one so there is no problem there, however I think the motor now needs changing as it does occasionally move a slight bit but not most of the time. Various little marks over the paintwork as to be expected from a 23 year old car but in general it is in a lovely condition for its age. After getting it back on the road this year the paintwork was machine polished to bring out more shine. It is a lovely colour you really have to see in person to properly appreciate it. Aside from these small negatives in all it is a beautiful, well kept car for its age and has never let me down throughout the time I have owned it. I will be sad to see it go but I am now saving for a deposit on a house and unfortunately need to try and start getting some money together however I can. The car will come on the Alfa Romeo 17" wheels as pictured which has 4 pretty much new tyres. I also have a set of original speedline wheels which I can include with the sale for a little extra which will need refurbishing and all new tyres. Also if interested I still have the 3SDM 0.5 wheels as pictured which has slight kerbing to 2 of them and 2 tyres will need replacing (camber wear). I actually got 2 custom wheel caps machined for these wheels from aluminium as the grease caps on the rears protruded further than the stock caps. These can be thrown in for 300 extra. Feel free to contact me through here or if you would like to call then send a message and i'll drop you my phone number (dont want to put it direct on here as I cant be doing with random calls regarding accidents I have never had  ). Thanks for looking. £2700 ono

Nice! Sounds like that could be some fun! Would have to go for a test drive.. see what it can do ;)

It would be great to see it released as a Corrado but as you say I'm not too sure of the likeliness of this but who knows. Im also intrigued to know what engine would be put in it.. It would surely have to be something with a bit of kick!

Ok so I was browsing on facebook today as you do and I came across the new Audi Quattro Concept.. Is it just me or is anyone else seeing alot of Corrado styling in this? Personally I think it looks awesome and I hope they start producing it! I would love to have one... one day... hopefully

I agree with that Swompy I would admit he is a good rider but until he can prove his worth on another bike Ill still think its a lot down to that Honda as they are undoubtedly the top team. Sounds like you found a good place to watch Jon! Im hoping for a race as interesting as that this year not wanting a 2 lap race to find out the winner as too many have been so far!

Nice!! That looks top quality think I'm definitely going to have to look at getting my arches rolled & pulled because that little bit of tuck makes so much difference! Tried to compromise by cambering the front and rear but it destroyed my handling and I couldn't take the eating of nice brand new tyres any more :brickwall: Also I agree with you there Taylor I think I'll have to go for a 40mm splitter to get me that bit closer to the ground + mines already worn away now from speed bumps :thumbleft:

I have to admit it hasnt been the most interesting of seasons so far, seems rare to get a good fight for pole position. There has been one or two races which have been alright but you dont even have to watch it now to know who is going to win.. no one can match Marquez. Ive always been a Rossi fan and would like to see him lead again but it seems he just cannot match the Hondas pace what so ever and I dont think Pedrosa has it in him anymore to be a real challenge either. Think I'm still going to Silverstone to see the race as its only around the corner from me so im hoping for a more interesting race there

Just wondering if anyone on here watches the Moto GP bike racing and what peoples views are on the domination of Marc Marquez so far throughout the season?

When my sunroof mech went I struggled to find somewhere but I found this on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volkswagen-Corrado-2-9-Hatchback-VR6-Storm-breaking-breaking-/220917365026?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item336fb37922 Hes got tons of corrados which hes breaking (may be on the forum.. not sure?), you may have already tried this but it could be worth giving him a ring if not as I got a whole cassette off of him with panel fully working tilt and slide and has had no issues what so ever since I put it in.. apart from the motor not working but thats a different story haha

Thanks Mike yeah it is Ice Violet :thumbleft: happy to help out! They was saying it was one of the harder cars they've had to tint because of the reason you've said about the rear windows but they managed to do an excellent job with cutting and fitting the tints I suppose you just have to find a good place to get the job done properly!
-
Ive had the windows tinted on mine and was wanting to get the front done, but when the company tried they said there was an issue as the front window glass is pushed up against something (cant remember exactly what he said now) which im assuming is to keep the window tight to the seals. This meant that every time the window went down or up it caught the tint and ripped it off so it was only possible to do the rears. Ive got it quite dark and imo I think it suits the car quite well.

I have a bit of a strange one here.. My spoiler hasn't worked since I owned the car, you could hear the motor trying to work when using the switch but kept melting fuses (I think the fusebox has had it anyway as it seems to enjoy melting random fuses but that's a task for another day). I gathered that the motor had probably seized and so that's why it doesn't work. I used the manual override in the boot the other day and raised the spoiler to see if it was jammed but it seemed to go up smooth enough, which indicates that maybe the motor isn't seized, so I left it up. When I drove away the spoiler automatically went down again which surprised me as it has never worked by its self before but then it wont go back up again when reaching higher speeds.. When I use the switch to try and move it up manually it doesn't do anything any more either so I'm not sure what exactly could be the source of this problem? I'm going to take the spoiler out and clean the mech up anyway as I am sure it would be beneficial but I'm now not entirely sure that it would sort this issue out. Anyone have any ideas of what may be causing this?

Mine does exactly the same as this, but only opens a small amount at a time and then doesn't close at all. It also decides to open when I turn the key to lock the door for some reason which gets a bit annoying so ive had to disconnect it for the time being.
-
Did you ever find out how to get around this? As im having the same problem with mine now and I didnt know whether the only option was to bend the outer washer covering the bolts?
-
Hi bud, looks like I may be a little too late but I would like one of these with purple lit outer rings if you produce any more, Thanks, Alex

Ive taken a chance and bought a handle, for £8.50 i think its worth a try, may save me from having a damp inner door :thumbleft:
-
Haha thanks, Im not going to hold my breath on this one to be honest! Im just wondering whether a Passat B3 door handle may have the same gasket? I believe the whole handle is swappable + easier to come by for a corrado one and a lot cheaper
-
I know this is such a long shot but when fixing my passenger door handle today I have somehow managed to misplace the outer gasket and I cannot find it for the life of me. If anyone has one of these spare and is willing to sell (i would be surprised) but could you let me know and I will buy it off of you, Thanks, Alex

Hi Dave, I have also been struck with the problem of the typical passenger door mech, would like to have a kit off of you if possible please! :) Thanks, Alex -
Just checked and that interior ended up going for £144?! Ridiculously cheap! And it was only the next town along from me as well
