Hi, There are two screws that have to be undone. if u push ur mirror back one way u can undo one of them, then u have to push the mirror back the other way to get to the other one. Then there are two electrical block connections in the door that have to be seperated from the mirror. Mirror should then be off.

I fitted electric windows into my golf and it wasnt too hard, finding a centre console with the switches in and doing the wiring was harder. As for the Corrado electric windows, mine say electrolife on them, i take it these arent original then? Is there anything that can be done to mechanisms or the motors to make them last longer? Dont really wanna be buying new motors and mechanisms for both sides just yet. Anyone know where i can get some new ones for for a decent price? I saw a brand new set go on ebay for £36 a couple of weeks ago, just missed out.

will golf electric windows go in? My electric windows in the C are so slow think they need replacing.

Connecting positive to negative from the amp to the sub and vice versa. My HU has a the ability to reverse the phase, cant say that i notice much difference when i do reverse it tho. So i just keep it on normal. Kev, what differences have you experienced? think im gonna have to see what my response curve is like on a rta.

Good luck, im currently building my boot and its not easy squeezing a lot of equipment into a realtively small boot although it is slightly bigger then i had expected. Getting 2x12's in will be difficult, i've got one 15" goin and thats proving to be quite difficult.

the replacement bumpers use the original irons so it'l be just as strong
-
possibly, depends how good u r with plastic welding/fibre glassing/filling & sanding etc etc and if u have the time,. Buying the complete bumper will be a lot easier and ur guaranteed it will look and fit right first time.
-
use a transalation thing from the web, one of the guys on here will have the link to it, i think  it basically says "this is to flush the boot if u have a RS4 rear bumper" u cant get a rear diffuser to fit a number plate into, u have to get a new rear bumper if u want to relocate the number plate, funnily enough  if u scroll up the page of the link i gave u there is a picture of the bumper u need. (RS4). Reiger also sell this bumper i think. Not 100% tho

PM Kev or call James at audioscape, he'll probably sort you out still.
-
cool, think i might order some from him then, thanks.
-
kev, did u get any soundproofing material from James? Cos when i was speaking to him earlier he was really trying to sell me the stuff they've got, just wondering how good it is from an impartial point of view. Was contemplating the stuff from the bodyshop warehouse (as you get loads for your money and its also bitumen) but when i mentioned it to him earlier he was saying the stuff he sells is loads better and loads thicker (but then he would say that), so just wondering if you or anybody else has tried it?
-
Thats cool, just thought he might be trying it when he said it'l be a tenner to cut the hole cos i thought it was included in the price of the pods.
-
thanks kev
-
Just wondering if any of you guys that orderd the pods had to pay to get your pods cut to fit your speakers. Spoke to James earlier and he was saying its an extra £10 to have Audioscape cut the pods to fit my speakers. Thought it was all included.

Had a Toad Ai606 in my Golf for the last 3 years without any problems. Good alarms just dont have all the add-ons that clifford have.
-
Just paid for my pods. Cheers kev and Mr beige for sorting it out.

If anyone is after cheap sound proofing check the site below. Enter Sound deadening in the search at it'l return all the sound proofing they sell. Havent tried it myself yet, but have been told its good, well as good as dynamat original and its loads cheaper. http://www.bodyshopwarehouse.co.uk/ Car Audio direct also have a special offer on at the moment on dynamt extreme bulk packs, but i have been told one pack wont cover the whole car.

Will be putting Infinity Kappa 6.5" components in the pods wen I eventually get them. So have we got 10 people now?
-
I agree with Kev there. Got Kenwood 7 x 10's in a custom MDF shelf with amplifier, but components in front with no amplifier. There is just too much "sound" coming from the rear and not enough up front. Of course I could always get an amplifier for the front but I think the "split" approach works best. For my next car (if I ever get one) will def be 2-ways up front with bass in the boot. I've got a 15" rockford in the boot so got loads of bass in the back. Only having components running makes the car sound overly bassy, thats why i need the 6x9's. I've got the 6x9's set up to only run only the high end low frequencies & the mid and high frequencies so the sub takes care of all low low stuff (the sub goes down to 20hz) I'd put the 6x9's in the parcel shelf but i dont really want a parcel shelf, I like having the boot open and if i did put the speakers in the shelf bass from the sub would distort any speakers put in the parcel shelf.
-
damn, sounds like loads of work. thanks for the advice tho. will have to post up some pictures of the car wen its done, but the way things are goin i dont think that'l be for some time.

I've got Infinity Kappa 6.5" in the front of my golf and infinity kappa 6x9's in the rear door cards both are amped. When i have just the 6.5" speakers running it doesnt sound any where near as good as when i have the both 6.5's and 6x9's running. I wouldnt mount the 6x9's in the cards only, i'd create a build behind the card to strengthen the speakers. In the back of the golf i've created a mount out of wood and the 6x9's are solid and sound really good. Could possibly put components in the rear of the C but i prefer the sound of 6x9's in the rear of a car.
