thats what i looked at first, but it all seems to be connected that end.

Just looking through the loom in the VR and noticed that on the lower right of the engine bay near the starter motor/battery area, there is a yellow and black wire dangling down with a one pin white connector on it?? I have a picture that i will post up in a min. But i am just wondering if this is likely to be an important connection?? the only reason i say is that i have a Intermittent fault with my Cam sensor and ther is a wire of the same colour coming from not only the cam sensor but a few other sensors aswell?? is it earth or something?? not entirely sure tbh...was a bit of guess work when fitting the coilovers lol! i still need to get the front camber properly laser alligned, but i am gonna go for around -1 deg on the fronts, should be soritng that when i get paid next week.

clearance wise the fronts are fine with ET25. The rears are alot closer to the coilovers though, after i fitted the camber shims on the rear the rim actually touched the coil of the spring, so i had to remove the helper springs to raise the main spring up a bit.. could still do with being spaced out ever so slightly.. maybe 5 - 10mm.. mainly to bring out the rears a little more purely for aesthetics, to make it look better.. but its looking pretty much spot on now.

Have to admit, I had a certain disliking to Red cars until i got hold of the Rado... nice and easy to keep clean aswell :D

hmmm, you spotted it then :D its just a feeler really Bally.. hence the optimistic price 8) Think i am just toying with myself... think once the golf has gone i will be 100% committed to the rado, the way it needs to be, as i have so many ideas flying around in my head at the moment. :gag: :) I almost bought one of the Dubpower R32 conversion manifolds at edition38 to keep me on track with my plans for a DIY R32 swap so i dont keep changing my mind all the time :lol:

I bought a Mk2 Golf Edition One G60 in my Sig! http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=89060&st=0 I built it to have pretty much the same spec as the rado ;-) So pushing 240 - 250bhp. Although that is now sold and being collected end of this month... amazingly mint car, just couldnt use it as a daily anymore, its just too mint, i spent an absolute fortune on it! will be a sad day when that goes :( Then i can start work on my VR Rado ;-)

:shock: What was that making at the wheels then... I cant remember exactly, it was something like 205 at the wheels i think I had the RR print somewhere, but i think it went when i sold it to the guy that has it now unfortunatley.. balls

Haha yeh i was hanging out of my arse most of SAturday and sunday... somehow i managed to get up early enough to get the car onto the showground on the saturday.. but sunday just wasnt gonna happen lol! I almost put the car into the for sale section on the saturday... i was so so tempted to sell up and get something really really retro... but i think i am gonna stick to my guns and finish the rado. had an awesome weekend though! shame about a few of the chavs around... but i guess your gonna get them nowadays regardless.. had an awesome convoy up there though! 17 cars in total!

Yeh its a VR, so has the slightly wider track than the 16v. 8) They are ET25 all round... they do kinda stick out slighty at the front, and without running stretched tyres they would destroy the arches.. hence why i am running falken 205/40/16s which give a nice stretch without being OTT. On another note, one thing i really must sort out on this car is the hydraulic system... its really not right at all... i think air is either in the system or something is leaking somewhere?? clutch pedal and brakes (clutch pedal doesnt even return sometimes) are really crap after longish stretches on the motorway.. I think i may try bleeding the entire system and see where that gets me..?? hopefully nothing too expensive

YEh the exhaust has settled more now! knocks ever so slightly but i am sure thats because i literally put it on in 10 minutes.. so prob need refitting to get 100%! but the look is exactly what i was after! Saw your car on the show field on the sunday Bally tho! couldnt find you tho :D

not really had any major issues really! i think its mainly due to the fact i have falken 205/40 tyres on... give enough room for clearance. Only ever so slightly rubs when on full lock.. but apart from that its ok :D

Was'nt gonna do much of a build thread on this.. but ah well :D Pick this little beaut up a few weeks back! bar £80 it was a straight swap for my audi a4 daily! Needs work.... but is gonna be more suitable replacement for the Golf G60 when in goes in september. This is how i picked it up... :headbang: feeling slightly sorry for it self Now bearing in mind i have a Tight budget i think its turned out ok.. still got loads to do, but its getting there. First things first was to sort out the poo paint... i had a mate of a mate spray the whole car on the cheap.. not show quality or anything but perfectly good enough considering it cost me feck all :lol: Then it was Cool wheels & Ebay cheap coilover time.. always wanted these Pretty much getting there now... just needed to replace the crappy standard exhaust due to various holes in the original system.. So sourced a nice wallet friendly replacement Just needs a little bit more lowering, spacing of rear, a few satin black touches and maybe a 90mm splitter and it will be pretty much there. Further plans down the road include a 24v conversion over winter and a complete interior overhaul... all on the DIY cheap. 8) although i am still really liking the idea of supercharging the 12v lump.. not sure yet tbh.. Although its gonna be kinda gutting seeing the Golf G60 go, atleast i have this to play with for a while. Mike.

rich i have a UDM machine polisher bung me some cash and i will spend a day detailing it sometime next week maybe Get coilovers and wheels... the paint is too good for a full respray

Are we talking Storm Developments by any chance?? i ve been trying to get hold of them with regards to sorting out a loom for me... havent heard a single thing from them so will be taking my business elsewhere. :D The Phirm is only down the road from me aswell. 205/40 falkens ZE912 should give a safe but nice stretch... falkens have always been good for stretchness

I dont really regret it tbh.. i just think in a way, Corrados are alot more "daily" friendly... I am so so paranoid about the Mk2 when i take it anywhere... its at the stage where its too mint :lol: So bring on some Corrado Loving... Gonna go for white or Red this time aswell... something new for me.. ive only ever owned Dark cars :D
