You should find a reliable 8v or 16v for that money ;)
-
Always trust your gut instinct Wayne ;) So will it be another C next?
-
Already Wayne, what's going on with you? :bonk: Haha :thumbleft:
-
I feel bad for making you remove the old vinyl now Wayne! :( I'd paint it for you if was anywhere close
-
Ah poop!! Buy a piece of white vinyl?
-
No worries mate :thumbleft:
-
Good luck with it :-)

... I've got them now, just zoomed into the photos! I'm not sure why they both have two date stamps on the back of each wheel? However one shows 12/91 & 7/92, the other shows 10/92 & 3/93. I hope that helps?
-
Not sure on the exact colour as I didn't get them done but they match the silver Speedlines that were on my VR6. The centre caps I don't think have been painted but look a good match. I can check the date stamp when I'm back at my unit on Monday. Cheers Andy

If you don't mind some constructive comments having looked at your ebay advert; 1. Make a bigger fuss of the money you've spent on her as you've spent thousands! List that early on and summarise what you've spent on. 2. Take a few minutes to wipe over the slam panel, suspension turrets and washer bottle under the bonnet (at least these items) and stick a new engine photo up. It will look much fresher. 3. Assuming the paint is ok underneath, lose the sticker on the fuel filler flap with a hair dryer or gently with a heat gun I think the above will make your car much more appealing. You've been honest about it's condition (as you should be) but sell the plus points a little more as it's not all bad! :thumbleft:

What's the latest Wayne? Have you sold?
-
No, just ignore them!!
-
The C looks cracking Jay :thumbleft: Not too low with the B12s - it looks just right and you should keep your splitter intact! lol
-
How frustrating - just for an oil change!! The car is looking great by the way :thumbleft:
-
I would have thought that the first garage should have picked up on it and told you it needed replacing. It seems pretty poor to me. As Chris said though, it's a blessing nothing bad has happened to you or your family!! Hopefully it's a simple fix now ;)
-
I'm sure I'll be popping in ;) Thanks mate, yes it was hard. It's always the way when you sell a nice car - and you make it nicer ready to sell it!! lol. He said he'll give me first refusal if he comes to sell it so that's not so bad. Thanks Chris. Needs-must - but I'm sure I'll have another one day :thumbleft:
-
Well that's it, the C went last night. I had to replace one of the CV boots as that split the other day so got a final blast in it taking it for the geo to get done again. I've got first refusal if he ever comes to sell it - let's hope I'm in a position to buy when he does! lol It's been fun - it wont be my last. In the meantime, thanks to everyone on here for the help and general good vibes in here over the last few months :thumbleft:

Wow, that looks really good! -
Oh yeah they'll pay for the servicing, will be under my business! I've asked for first refusal if/when he comes to sell. If I'm maintaining it in the meantime happy days! lol. Either way, I'm sure it wont be long before I'm back in another one ;)
-
Thanks Maff ;) Well it's just sold! Mixed feelings - great for necessity but gutted to see it going, I'm really going to miss it :( I ended up with two chaps locally after it, plus a couple of others too! I'm guessing the colour of the car must have been what made it popular? Anyway, it will be off to the new owner, James, on Tuesday most likely. I may well be doing the servicing/work on it in the future for him - not sure if that's a good or bad thing for my envy! lol

LOL, well hopefully you have fixed it without realising!
