  1. I was thinking the other day if it was possible to make the sunroof switch in the C a one-touch operation like with the windows. After a small amount of Googling I found this thread - http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?1316876-one-touch-sunroofs Has anyone tried this? I thought I'd try and get some local feedback before buying bits and trying it out. Cheers in advance :thumbleft:
  2. Good news Dave, glad it's going to be a keeper ;)
  3. Wayne that bulb looks right to me for the heater control. The non-bulb end just pushes in to the centre of that green bit of plastic.
  4. That all sounds like good news then ;)
  5. Looks great!! Hope you've fixed your rattles with the felt? I need to attend to mine!
  6. Does Bentley manual not show you about headlight adjustment pattern? You can do against a wall no problem, or Google for general tips. Otherwise, your friendly MOT man may help ;)
  7. Haha, good man! :thumbleft: Is there much repairing to do to the metalwork?
  8. Couldn't agree more - and the wheels!
  9. That small bulb looks like the one in the central heater control knob that illuminates the panel. Just pull the knob off and you'll see a green plastic bulb holder. Ref the headlights, the top two mounts don't adjust as far as I'm aware, you've got adjusters on the back of the headlight unit.
  10. Driver's mirror looks right now Wayne! :thumbleft: Just to expand on the fog light comment, you'll often find on the back of the light unit where the missing bulb would poke through, there's a disc that you can push out which allows you to fit the missing bulb, giving you two, working rear fogs as the connections are already there. Definitely fit the upgraded loom Wayne, as mentioned it's a safer setup and your new bulbs wont make much difference on their own - I know from experience! lol
  11. Trims came up well - need pics of the car!! Try remember the camera next time! lol :thumbleft:
  12. Well done Wayne, glad you got them sorted. These are a great upgrade to the C and pretty much remove your blind spots.
  13. I don't believe the set on ebay was anyone from the group buy. From memory the seller was in Ireland and the only ones I sent out there were to Diarmaid. He's in a different part of Ireland plus hadn't taken delivery at the time the listing went on ebay. I can only assume it was someone who has bought from elsewhere.
  14. This last week as well as the C getting a well needed cleaning inside and out, I replaced the stereo. I really quite liked the more period correct one that was installed and sound quality was good too; However, with no AUX, USB etc I was missing playing the music from my phone or iPod. So, when I was in my motor factors the other day and saw this for fifty notes, voilà! ; For the money it's a great little unit. Has Bluetooth, hands-free calling and behind the flap an SD card slot, USB and AUX. Sadly the backlighting is blue not green but it doesn't look too out of place. I'm rather pleased with it - I just need to wipe the finger prints off the front! lol
  15. Well it looks like Toby has had to throw in the towel with my old valver :( - http://www.gumtree.com/p/volkswagen/ads/1109712751?EDID=7ZHUI17-FN33H-L4P1XM-EFOPRO-FKI68U-v1&CELLID=3624284&utm_source=savedsearches&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Daily&utm_content=GpB_month If I had the spare cash I'd be tempted to buy it back. It's a fair description of the car - if anyone is looking at buying it I'll happily add to Toby's appraisal of the car - I chucked a fair bit of money at it and despite the current issues with the car it's a good one - and pretty much rattle free too! lol (Wish my VR was!)
  16. Welcome to the forum Nick First time Corrado ownership? Good luck with the project - looking forward to the pics ;)
  17. Don't apologise! We like updates, and pics! Keep at it :thumbleft:
