hello just wondering where i can get a corrado fault finder? been halfords and the sell VW ones but it only says on the box ( golf passat vento vr6 ect is this the correct one? where do a get a corrado vr6 fault finder from? also is the more expencive £99 one any use?

hello just a little question i was about to change my fuel filter and i noticed the hose clips seem to be weird looking, they dont seem like they can be reused and im not sure how to remove them? ive also noticed these clips in the engine bay and every time i come across them i dont bother doing any more work just incase there like that for a reason? if they cant be reused and i remove them then can i replace them with jubilee clips?

good point!!!! i might just do that o yeah when i took the oil n filter out the old oil was well black n it was only 2 months old!!! guess thats down to driving in london traffic!!

i used the same spec oil a 10/40 from gsf in silver bottle i changed the filter too factory filter, the temp is about 90 to 102max oil is that high? i tell you what though on the dip stick the new oil looks well thin?? it looks like water n can hardly see it on the stick!

hello i changed the oil n filter in my vr6 with a engine flush now its really smooth n quiet when could alot more then before but once its hot it makes loads more noise more rattles ??? i used gsf silver 10/40 oil? why would it sound worse?

it was the yellow fuse i think number 20 it says in the manule thats its the fuel pump n lambada????? all it does is make the indicators not work?? o yeah what does fuse 109 stop working?? ive removed that now!

is this normal i was worried about someone nicking my car so i removed the fuel pump fuse like a do anyway i went to change the oil ran the car for 10 mins or so the put new oil in ... now i realise i still aint put the fuse back n the car is still working???

well if i was to get 1 it would be for the sound and look seen it n heard it on a r32 n its nice!!!! there is a left h drive on fr sale on ebay with a twin i spoke to the seller he said it costs like 700 pounds!!!!!! bit much

ive seen sum for other cars that have 1 box n a pipe coming off for the other oval bit would there still be the same problem?

hello can anyone tell me where i can get a twin exhuast for my vr6?? i mean two ovals one either side? also my dads merc was stolen last night, so im abit paranoid now so ....whats the best fuse to remove to stop it from working?? i was using the fule pump before

got a new fuel filter and a vw oil filter so well chage on the weekend!!!!! the hmmmm has gone for now n now the car has started to cut out again!!!! also noticed a knocking noise comeing from the engine and that nasty smell is back!!!

nah there isnt any smoke at all, no oil burn, just a black plug thats about it really o yeah the hummm from the rear and steering go abit stiff at times when slowing down

i donno it says on the compression packet that too high can mean something with the valve clearance or something like that? so its a ok reading then and doesnt seem to bad to you?

hello just done a compression test on my vr6 due to the black plus number six i didnt manage to do cyl 3 or 5 coz the crap tool broke so i had to leave the plugs in them hope it didnt give a dodgy reading? anyway whats this mean it seems high to me? CYL 6 = 183 OR 12.9 BAR CYL 4= 190 OR 13.0 BAR CYL2 = 187 OR 12.9 BAR CYL 1 = 173 OR 12.1 BAR CYL 3 AND 5 DID NOT DO THEM!!! so what does this reading tell me?? is it too high ? did i do it wrong coz i left plug 2and 5 on?

hello while radin a old pvw mag i notice something, it might be old news i donno.. it said VW dealers in germany have noticed the major problems with the MAF's fitted to vw so are now offering a exchange as part of the 80k service and charging around £70 instead of around 200 it also said that VW dealers here are now offering the same?? im not sure if this is old news or true or if it only refers to a cars going throu a 80k service but i thought i put it up incase it wasnt known

cheers yep your right!!! i went to a vw audi place yesterday and they gave me a ok price so i might go there the guy in there said he had the same car so lets hope he knows his stuff!!!!

it only makes the cat smell when its pushed to go fast so still think it could be connected to the black plug?

ive got a bosch place right on my road BUT last time i went there they left ht lead 1 off n told me my car had major problems??? no surprise when they do that to it

if the problem is the injector any idea of the price? how much is vag-com and would it help me with this problem?

see some people say it could be the injector ( the people who dont do rebuilds ) but if i ask someone who does rebuilds they say it need a rebuild?? i think a test is the only way!!! o yeah its plugs 6 thats black I HOPE ITS JUST THE INJECTOR!!!

the plug doesnt have any oil on it? its more a matt black , it was ones shiny black but even then it wasnt oily?? aslo the is no blue smoke not any smoke really!!! bad point are... 1.humm from fuel pump as load as the engine at times! 2.nasty cat smell( burning matches ) not rotten eggs never had that in this car! 3.maybe a slight lose in power at times?? donno but im sure it should be faster! 4.MPG around 20 to29 around busy london! average is 22.5 on a normal day where most of traffic is just waiting at front of red lights! thats it really!!!! i spoke to stleath earlier today they really seem to know there stuff and were very helpful, but they did say around 2400 for a rebuild n i cant really afford that n not sure if its worth it

hello fed up of seeing a black plug number 6 so wondered if anyone could recommend a good place to get a rebuild or atleast get a honest answer to whats up with it?? prefer it within london? 1 person told me its the piston rings so id need a rebuild anyother said if it was the pistons id loose oil but my oil aint being used so all i need is a honest place and a good price if the worst comes to the worst!!!! help!!!

yes where you marked in the pic thats where it is inside the metal end? but on mine its also got a round plastic device the it joins the metal n its inside there you find that thing?? if its to stop oil then why am i getting a little bit of oil comming from there into the pipes? is that bad?
