where would i find the Idle stablization Value? the smell is not a normal smell its very strong and weird, could it be the cat by anychance??

hello lately my vr6 has started to nearly cut out and cutout at times whan dipping the clutch when driving, ive only noticed this when its at running temp, as youd expect when it does cut out the steering goes hard what aint safe ALSO when driving a tiny n i mean a tiny push bit fast i get a dodgy burning smell LIKE BURNING MATCHES it smells like that burning clutch smell but it seems to be coming from the back the ht leads and plugs are fairly new ANY IDEAS?

i bought a aux water pump from euro parts it was made by bosch and it wasnt the same as the old 1 it was smaller( the motor on it was smaller and the black plastic was bigger) it made it harder to get the rubber claps, it went on ok but not how it should .. the plugs on it were fine though, i asked vw main dealer n he said they may have chaged it but as long as it fits on its ok

listen to henny he told me to change the fan switch and now i may not ave any skin left on my knuckles but the fan works NICE!!! it costs £ 10.50 from europarts

firstly thanks i changed the fan switch n the fan now comes on when it should aint really driven it long but it did cut in, so hope it dont boil over again? as for the thermostat i cant get them 2 lil bolts off they are stuck so i put all the pipes back... the upper rad hose heats up much faster then the lower one, upper one HOT lower one cold , after 10 mins lower 1 heated up alot more... is this a problem with the thermostat ??? also cheers i did put coolent throu the rad hose

ok ive removed the switch copper plug thing from the rad ( just above the lower hose) lets hope the fan works!!! anyone got any good ideas on how to remove the thermostat ? ive removed the hoses around it n there aint much space and the 2 bolts just dont wont to come loose, ive already been throu 3 alenkeys ANY TIPS??? n i dont mean tips on my spellin!! ok mr edwards!! lol

on my car its a yellow fuse 20amp and its connected to the lambada, not sure maybe mine aint the same as yours or maybe there is 2 connected to the pump??

whats the thing ive already tested with the 3 plugs yellow one a blue one then a black on???

cheers where about on the rad do i find it?? do they all have 2 rads or is one for the aircon??

peeps my fan dont come on?? it works alright from the battery, it works from the yellow sender thing but it dont work on it own !!!! how do i look futher into this what should i look at next??? vr6 is bad vr6 with aircon s**t to fix!!!!!

well spelling n corrado's are something that is a pain in the backside for me!! anyways any 1 know what to look at next?? i checked the yellow plug and bridged a wire and the fan came on so..... it works from there n it works direct from the fan motor but dont come on on it own!!

help the fan dont come on, it works when i connect it direct to the battery but only then!! also the hose coming from the heater heats up first and then the upper one going to the rad but the lower one dont get as hot!! whats up??

can anyone tell me what 2 bolts i need to remove to take off the front bumper?? ive looked under there and can see any bolts where are they and are they facing downwards or sideways?? i know im menna remove 2 front n back

i check the upper n lower rad hose and the upper 1 does seem to heat up very fast and the lower one aint as not just slightly worm?? whats this telling me??

i know the tiop rad hose get very hot aint checked the lower one, the rad is in very good condition only reson id remove the front n the rad is to get a better look at the leak comin from around the middle near ish to the water pump... can see where abouts its coming from but cant pinpoint it unless the rad goes

i just changed mine n it work whenever the key is in now im para does the sides bit connet to the hose that goes to the expan tank and the downwards on to the heater hose?? is this the right way round?? its just the arrow on it points towards the expan n i thought tthats wierd as its also sending the water throu the same hose t came from???

guess its time to remove the hole front end then to get out the rad so i can see!!

seems i fix 1 leak n in no time there is another!! think the expan tank is ok it comes out in steam and the starts pouring out!!

cheers well the fan did come on most off this week but the only problem till yesterday was the leak coming from aroud the water pump but couldnt really tell wear exactly its coming from, but yesterday the story got alot worse as its just heating up and coming straight out the expan tank?? the rad fans might not ave come on yesterday as im sure they should have if thats happening!! but they was working fine before yesterday... i thought 100 temp was about normal??? it didnt go above the 110 mark.... i changed the aux water pump last week... does the sideways part go to the hose connecting to the expansion tank and the downwards one to the heater hose or have i got the mixed up?? i thought all i had to do was remove the slam panel how wrong i was !! easy HELL NO!!

listen for a buzzing huming noise coming for the rear you should be able to hear it when in the car too, if you can hear it when you got alot of fuel it might be the petrol pump?? anothing thing is the elec fuel pump should be yellow 20 amp?? thats what i got on my vr6 1994 and its connected with the lambada probe.....

hello back to a old question i think the aux pump does stay on at all time , ive just changed mine and i can hear it if i listen carefully when keys are in and its turned off!! i got major probs with my cooling too!!! someone please tell me on the aux pump does the downward part of the aux pump connect to the heater hose and the side ways one towards the expan tank??? thats what it says in the manule but it dont look right as that means its pushin it back towards the the exp tank cos the is a arrow on my aux?? someone please ave a look???

thats near the water pump aint it?? donno how to remove the radiator so i can ave a bit of space to look?? now the bigger problem is all the water pooring and steamin out of da expansion tank at 110 temp

hello my vr6 keeps leaking n now it gettin even worse first of all i changed the secondary elecric water pump cos that was leaking.. then it started leaking from somewhere near the water pump cant really pin point it? how do i remove the radiator so i can look??? no space!! and now as soon as the temp cos just below 110 ALL the water steams out and poor out of the expantion tank cant even drive it once its warm cos it will poor out?? 110 was normal temp before but know whats happend???
