I can see your angle but it doesn’t sound like lifter pump up to me. I was just wonder because mine developed a really bad missfire,it turns it was due to it having Mobil 1 in it all it's life. It ended up knackering the oil pump up and causing to much oil pressure keeping the lifters open and giving it a really bad missfire.
-
What grade of oil are you using?
-
I replaced my last month due to it pumping out too much pressure. A piece of piss to change there's only 3 bolts holding the pump on if i remember right. It's driven off the intermediate shaft but you cant go wrong.
-
Yes i did spot that but it doesnt work like that when entering it on the computer. The computer tells you what the limits are as far as the emissions go,it doesnt say anything about testing according to what is older.eg the car or the engine.
-
The engine code comes into it when registering the test on the computer.
-
But you can't get an exact match when youve got a r32 engine fitted as there wasnt such a car.
-
Exactly if there's no match it get's tested as a pre cat car regardless of age.
-
Just to clear a few things up.http://www.motuk.co.uk/exhaust_emmissions.htm. So for example anyone who has car registered after 1st 0f august 1992 (k reg) and has fitted a 24v engine it would not be tested as being a catalyst equiped car because the engine code would not be correct for that particular car.The limits would then be raised to 3.5% so it would pass easily. Hope thats clear.
-
When testing a car it also goes on the engine code this can also alter what the limits are to pass. NOT having a catalyst fitted when one usually is is NOT a reason for failure it would only fail if the emmisions are to high, which they usually are when the cat has been removed.

If the camshaft's are lined up correctly and the crank is lined up i can't see how the intermediate shaft being out is going to make any difference :? -
Where can you buy vibratechnics bushes from ?Mine are knackered and need replacing.

I went to Prestwold Hall last year with my wife (i paid for one of the driving packages for her ) anyway just before we got there it turned out someone had crashed the dodge viper and trashed it!!! all the instructors were very nervous after that, can't understand why
-
Not had chance yet but i'll have a look and let you know what i find.
-
Well i replaced the oilpump yesterday and it's cured :D So no more 0w/40 crap for my car.
-
Yeah put some 10w/40 quantum in instead. mobil 1 cost's a fortune !!!
-
Mine has done 109k and has allways had mobil 1 0w/40 in it from new,and it is suffering from the valve's staying open when cold, obviously due to the excessive oil pressure. Looks like i'll be needing a new oil pump then or is it possible to repair it ? I've priced one up and they are about £80+vat ish. MORE EXPENCE!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I checked my oil pressure today using a gauge and it reading over 14 bar at about 2000 rpm   According to the book it should be 2.0 bar at 2000 rpm so i suspect that the oil pressure relief valve is stuck. Am i right in thinking that it's inside the oil pump? I'm hoping that this is the reason why it suffers from a really BAD missfire when it's cold. any help would be appreciated Cheers Jason

I've just bought myself a headlight switch off ebay and it's not the right one. The part number on it is 535 941 531 d and it has 10 pin's. The one on my car is part number 535 941 531 f and it has 11 pin's. Can someone tell me what corrado it fit's? Could it be off a later 1995 onward's model? Cheers Jason

I'm going to rebuild one for my cousin's C next i'll let you know how i go on. I have found that the part which the rocker arm mount's onto on the left handside seem's to wear and this causes the rocker arm to be missaligned when sliding back. Also found that the little wheel on the rocker arm's were badly worn also possibly causing more drag. Hope this help's anyone that's having problems. Cheers Jason

It could be the main ecu relay that's buzzing.
