MK2 Escort 1.6 Ghia. 1989, think I paid £500 for it. Loved it but was falling to bits within a year!

Don't apologise for the price! That's worth every penny of 8k that. -
I'd leave it to the professionals but at the end of the day it's down to personal choice!

Not sure if it was you asked the same question on FB Rob? I had my daily, a Scirocco, ceramic coated about six months ago & I think it works really well. That said once a car has been ceramic coated they have to be maintained properly using the correct type of shampoo & I think this is where a lot of people have problems as with the incorrect type of maintenance wash the ceramic coating can be damaged & not work as it should. I wouldn't have a ceramic coat on my Corrado though as it doesn't get used every day & the paint is not exposed .to the same level of contaminants. I've just popped outside & took a picture as it's raining! Coating done over six months ago & not washed for a month & still beading nicely. https://i.imgur.com/iuVAmlo.jpg[/img]"]

As far as I am aware there is no realistic electric vehicle for the masses in the near future & even if there was the UK quite simply do not have the generating or charging infrastructure to support them. There is at least fifty years of oil left in the ground at current production rates. Petrol/diesel is here for a while yet!

I replaced all this on mine recently, although I didn't fir it. I think some of the genuine parts may no longer be available. I sourced the parts from eBay, the seller was B&B Components who I've used before & all the parts they supply fit & are decent quality. You might want so source some spare O rings for both ends (same size) of the crack pipe as we used a couple to get it to seal properly & the end that goes into the block will need cleaned up before refitting to ensure a good seal.

Classic Green 16V Corrado on Shibdon Road, Blaydon this afternoon. Only the second one I've seen in three years in this area!
-
Very simple inside. One bulb, three diodes & one resistor & I think all of the boards may be the same. One of the maintenance lads at work checked mine & found a duff diode. A few pence to replace he said & simple to do. if you know what your doing!

Not in my Corrado I'm afraid. In my MK1 Audi TT!
-
I can vouch for the MK1 Audi TT seats. Excellent quality & very comfortable.

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...

Yeah top job done there, superb. Wish mine looked like that also, mines been on axle stands for the last 3 years, still doing loads to it from my list about a mile long, Thanks. Taken me three years & a few quid to get it where it is today. Keep plugging away at the list. It'll get there in the end!
