  1. Will do, suppose that makes sense rather than randomly replacing parts. Thanks
  2. Hi all, Afraid this isn't Corrado related, but I am aware that there are lots of mechanically minded people on here who hopefully can help. I have a Saab 9-3 Coupe, and about 6 weeks ago had the tracking done by ATS. They had some trouble adjusting the track rods on the near side (a lot of grunting and sweating to undo the bolts etc) Since then I have been gettiong noise from that wheel, a slight knocking, and creaking at low speed. I have looked at the track rod ends, and on that side the rubber part seems 'deflated' if you know what I mean. My question is, would this explain the noises? I did use the search, but couldn't find a match so thought i'd ask. Thanks Rich
  3. A lot of the questions you are asking will depend on your company policy. Your fleet manager will be able to advise on what models you can have, if you can spec them up, and whether they have a full maintenance contract with their supplier etc etc. A lot of companies now are limiting the choice of vehicle in order to get better discount terms with manufacturers, so this may limit you. I work for a large leasing company, and we are lead by client company policy mostly.

Thats absolutely right, all 14's, and 15's are like rocking horse sh@t. TBH, even if you could get 15's they would still look a bit small on a C.
  5. The tax is paid by any driver that has the use of a company vehicle for work and pleasure for more than 30 days. If you drive your own car to work, use a van for the day, and drive your own car home, I believe you are ok, but if you drive a company car to work, use it for work, then drive it home, that is a taxable benifit from the company. With regards to the company owning the van, that doesn't matter, as they are giving it to you, it is a benifit.
  6. Be careful about the Pool car routine, I work for a vehicle leasing company, and if you have that pool car for more than 30 days, you have to report it to the tax office legally. They are well within their rights to demand the car tax from you later if they find out.
  7. Were all of the pipes hot when it happened? I had this on a car, some of the water pipes were boiling, some were cold. turned out the thermostat was stuck closed, so no water was getting round the engine. Easy fix for a garage, and cheap too.
  8. Dont really understand people like that. However, Marty, you're car looks great, the colour in that second picture is amazing. Well done
  9. ?? Joking?, or just plain rude?
  10. It may not be the spring though. The rubber bung that the bonnet sits on can be adjusted too by turning counter clockwise, it may just be stitting on that.
  11. This is only a shot in the dark, but try topping up your water. I know on the VW's i've owned, if the water level goes down just a little, you will get a flashing light on your dash.....makes sense if you hada a rad leak last time it happens? Doh, just read whole post, no water problems!! oh well, should have listened to my teachers....READ THE QUESTION CAREFULLY!
  12. Really, nice, good work. Would be interested if I still had a C!
  13. Hello mate, been a while, but i've been keeping my eye in. You're car is a beaut!, you did well there. I particularly like the picture of it with the sun behind, 8) Yeah, cant believe they charge so much, but I suppose if you've got the money, its gonna be a great laugh.
  14. reading the details, its actually £40,000 to enter per vehicle (including 2 people) !!!!
  15. That may be a blown brake bulb shorting, happened a week ago on my car, changed the bulb, now sorted.
  16. Saw a Maclaren F1 in Beaconsfield a few months ago. It was filthy, but I still had to brake to get a good look.
  17. So do I have the only dark brown metallic thats actually really dark blue/black?... gets stranger by the minute. Looking closely at the paint, it looks almost black, with blue metal flakes in it.
  18. Just been to check all numbers, VINs etc, and they all match.
  19. Heres a couple of pics aswell, polished up a couple of areas with Meguiars 3 stage, and they look nice. lots to do on it though. Manages to pick it up fairly cheap, so have some money left over to lavish on it.
  20. Gotcha, now on original post, any ideas? Also if anyone knows of one this colour being broken, please ,et me know. thanks
  21. doesn't seem to want to let me post pics, they are jpeg format, 1.92MB. Clicking add attachment, browsing for file, and add attachment again. Is that right?
  22. Right, I am now a corrado owner once again, and alraedy could do with some help. I have bought a J plate G60, (loving the power, completely different to the VR6, and seems quicker!) The problem is, it needs some spraying doing to it... front passenger wing, and rear right quarter, rear spoiler, maybe front bumper. The other alternative would be get panels from a car being broken. I am just wondering the actual colour. I have attached a pic of the sticker in the boot, which says it is a JET??, and has two colour codes on it. Any ideas, on actual colour, and opinions on the spraying/panels from a breaker? Thanks Rich
  23. I think that video of the bike is fake, look at the scenery, theres no way hes going over 200mph! Changed the face of the clocks I reckon. Could be wrong?
  24. Check the wiring on the stereo. Was it installed/adjusted recently? Sounds like you may have a loose live wire behind there earthing? So if its earthing, the lights are loosing power, and its draining the battery all the time. Maybe?
