  1. Corrado G60, Gloss black, extensively upgraded This has been a bit of a project for me over the last 10 years. All tuning related work carried out by G-Werks, Stealth and JMR. Current mileage, 172k. Taxed and MOT'd until Nov 2015. Panjo wont let me place the full spec of the build (it is longand extensive) so it's on page 47 of my build thread. Let's just say it's a big build (headline numbers, >250bhp reliably as a daily runner, gearbox with Peloquin, Porsche brakes, Racelogic traction and launch control, KW Variant 1's, custom interior, loads of spares, Carbon Fibre bonnet and roof, new windscreen etc etc). Loads of spares also available. Build details: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=20906 List Date: 8/16/2015 Location: Egham, Surrey, United Kingdom For more info, click here to view the original listing: Corrado G60, Gloss black, extensively upgraded -------------------------------------- This item is no longer available. -------------------------------------- Mobile friendly version: Corrado G60, Gloss black, extensively upgraded Go Mobile: Download the free Panjo iOS app now!
  2. 30 mins, swapping the Jabba chip for an SLS one cured my over fuelling problem immediately. No other changes just the chip. Back when I got mine it was a fairly common problem and a lot of people moved to SLS chips. In 11 years of G60 ownership it never went back there. Not doubting their work with newer engines, as Richman says there seems to be a lack of love to the G60 these days.
  3. So, good for 1.8T but not necesarily for G60? When I first got my G60 it had a Jabba chip that was so rich it belched black smoke, and shot flame out of the back when changing gear. 30mins with G-Werks and a decent chip cured that immediately. Unfortuntely G-Werks are no more, but JMR is excellent with G60's.
  4. Good to hear you managed to find one - they're getting rarer and rarer these days. I won't tell you how much I was after then ;)

Whistle is from the boost return delete (tried it and it drove me nuts after a while). Loud whine on boost could be induction related (more of a howl than a whine though with induction kits). The tooth belt setup does whine. Bit like a milk float on steroids. If you want to go down that route keep a few spare belts in the car. I went through 2 belts in as many months and went back to standard after that. I did not notice any difference in performance.

It still sounded like a G60, just more so. I went through the boost return delete mod (and hated it) and tried a cone filter, and even tried a toothed belt system. In the end any benefits (and I'm yet to be convinced there were any) weren't worth putting up with the problems. Drilled air box, standard paper filter and decent exhaust system was good enough. OEM plus, as it were. Although it did have a habit of setting of car alarms if it got too close to them because of the deep bass rumble ;)
  7. Unless something weird has happened in the last 12 months Gwerks no longer exists. I'd go with JMR but book him quickly, he's always busy.
  8. Got the hard plastic pipe and the rubber 90 degree bend for under the throttle body. PM me for details if you're interested or need a pic.
  9. Might have one in the shed. Will take a look over the weekend and get back to you.

Bump. Would love to see her going to a new home and getting used. Hell of a G60 for the money...
  11. 50mm pulley is 'unusual' and will be either a special or a custom. I ran a 65mm pulley, and would not consider running anything smaller especially for a daily car. Recommended rebuild period was 20k for 65mm from memory as opposed to 30k for 68mm. I dread to think what it would be like for 50mm - 10 miles, lol? Going 1.9, requires a rebore, and forged pistons, different con rods. No point doing it without a fast road head and appropriate cam. Oh and a front mount intercooler - the standard one is pointless on a tuned engine. Put it this way, when I got my 1.9l engine built it came to about 4k with all the work and fitting (without the intercooler which I already had). Then there was the mapping etc etc. Of course you could just buy mine given it's all done ;)
  12. It can be done, but it isn't cheap or easy going from 220-230 to 250. Yep my car's up for sale Dan - just not getting used regularly at the moment, and would rather it went to someone who'll use it. Perfectly usable as a daily, and reliable as long as they're serviced regularly, and the oil chnages are done, and they're not caned before the oil is up to temperature. Details are in the for sale section and a full spec is on the last page of my build thread. LSD would be good - but at the end of day it's down to throttle control. I have a Peloquin ATB on mine and it made it much more controllable, would recommend it to anyone with a tuned G60 as the increased torque makes them a handfull. I also have Racelogic traction control (but mainly for the Launch Control option :) ).
  13. Buy mine, lol. Seriously though you can get 250bhp reliably from a G60 and have it as a daily runner. Bore out to 1.9l, stage 4 charger, schrick cam, etc etc etc. A lot of work but worth it. Just remember to do the brakes, gearbox and suspension as well.
  14. From memory the nut in the middle needs to come off. Also from memory it's a right nightmare as the moment you remove it the spring underneath flies off, and get's lost in some corner of your workshop (and is a right sod to get back one again once found). If at all possible try and repair it without removing it.
  15. As Album says, it sounds like an ISV issue to me. Do you have a normal intercooler, and was it a hot day? Is the car running a standard chip or an aftermarket one? Also, as mentioned if you are not using V power, run the the fuel you have down (without flooring it) and only use V power. Normal fuel, high outside temps, and too much advance on the timing (could be a problem with an aftermarket chip) can lead to pinking and the ISV will vent and ECU with retard the timing leading to the symptoms you have. Try fresh good fuel, and a run in the cold weather (or middle of the night given the heat wave we are heading for) take it gently up in the revs and see what happens.

You're right Jim - unfortunately no time or space anymore and I'd rather see it get run than sit around. You're also right in that it would make much more by breaking, however I have neither the time, space, nor skill for that. To be honest I'd rather see it go to someone who'd run it, rather than break it, and if I could find someone who'd be willing to guarantee to do that, I could do a very good price for them...

    JMC's G60

Still up for sale. Would like to see this go to another enthusiast, so am open to an offer for a quick sale.
  21. My G60's J reg and had late front wings and bumpers. Was originally an early interior though (before I swapped in late door cards).
  22. Talk to John Mitchell Racing (JMR) in Littlehampton about the options as there are a few. Need to think about which cam you want as well (most use the Schrick 268/276 asymetric). Oh and it is a great mod to do to a G60, but you may want to think about an exhaust manifold as well as the standard one is pretty restrictive.
