Can you put up a picture of the loom it was attached to in the engine bay - as tony says that looks very non standard and is most likely someone bypassing a faulty sender.

Blue temperature sender, lambda sensor, and ECU vacuum hose are all potential culprits. Also, vacuum/boost leaks in general. Does it still have the carbon cannister and pipework? If so there are any number of areas that could be leaking.

Options here in the UK other than those above - JMR (John Mitchell Racing), OCD (Only charged dubs), Dubforcetuning.net.

Thanks to Emu - packaged up and sent out a replacement rear view mirror really quickly. Kept me up to date with what was going on as well. Cheers mate.

I need to get this sorted ASAP, so Emu, as you are this first to get back to me with a price I'll take it. PM me your details please and I can get the postage sorted.

Well, my rear view mirror decided to come away from the windscreen, and of all the places to choose to land, it fell on my gear knob and promptly cracked. After seing how much they are on ETKA and nearly falling off my seat, does anyone have one in good condition in a parts draw they're looking to get rid of please?

Hi mate, do you still have the rear view mirror available? If so what condition is the mirror in please? -
Bump - still for sale.

How depressing - just done 250 miles from Surrey to Yorkshire, and saw one other Corrado - and that was on a trailer on the M1 :(

Blimey, blast from the past there. I did get a small screen in the end, used it for a while then got hacked off with it and got rid of it. The joys of little projects

PM on its way with details.

Rare as hens teeth - I have a G60 Auto Throttle Body for sale. For those that don't know about them they have a throttle position sensor rather than the usual microswitches, and are ideal for anyone going standalone. Bought for a project that never materialised so just looking to get the money back. £120 posted or £110 collected (near J13 of the M25).

Thanks guys. While I hate to think about getting rid of the G60, I have a horrible feeling practicallity and usability will win out. Not just yet though....

Thanks guys, and anymore comments, please keep them coming. Yes, it's the newer shape S3 I'm thinking of (maybe last 6 years or so). I had a feeling servicing might be an issue, but my G60 doesn't like being kept outdoors, and I'm getting more issues with her, so I get the feeling servicing that will become more of an issue. I'm also pondering whether a slighly older 3.2l S3 or an R32 would be an option as well. Decisions decisions.

Well (and I hate admitting this) the time has come for me to start looking a for a different car. After something not much bigger than the Rado, don't mind if it's 2 or 4 door, probably not going to do as much to it as I did to my G60, and would like something with a bit of grunt, ideally 4 wheel drive. So I'm currently thinking Audi S3 or Golf R32 - like the idea of possibly some mild engine tuning (or if I go the R32 route then depending on how business goes maybe Turboing it). No idea at all about S3 running/ownership, so was wondering if anyone had any experience please. And yes, it will be an awful day when I need to get rid of the Rado.....

Interesting, thanks for sharing, I have a spare bumper I've been meaning to respray for ages :-)

Cheers John - sounds like a great mod for anyone on the quest for lightness then.

Very interesting, and glad to see this is finally getting done. Is the idea with this that it takes the original glass, or will it be aimed at a plastic rear window?
-
I hate you, but only because I never got round to fitting my nitrous kit to my G60. Good on you though - might eventually get mine done one day, lol

Cheers for the ideas guys - it does definitely seem to be temp related, so will see what happens if we (ever) get a warm day as well.

On my G60 (so very limited VagCOM) the ABS has recently started playing up, but only when cold. When cold the light comes on and stays on. Then once it has been driven (typically for 10-20 miles), if I switch her off and start her up again the ABS light goes out as normal. Then if the car sits for a couple of hours and cools down again, the ABS light comes on again. First things that come to mind are ABS pump plug, take off, clean and WD40, and the relay to make sure the contacts are ok. Any other ideas welcome (could it be to do with the spacing between the sensors and the slotted disks/drums on the wheels changing with temp for example)?
