  1. Spoke with Pureklas today and they're going to have a look to see if they have a G60 cover there. If not, how much would be after or yours billinjahg60?? Looking forward to this - it'll be good the get the engine bay looking a bit more shiny....
  2. Nice one, will give these guys a ring and see how much they are (and if they already have one in - unlikely, but better check). I'll let you know, billinjahg60... Thanks guys, Jon
  3. Cheers Billinjahg60, how much are you after for it?? It seems as though the places that can do the polishing need one to work with, and as mine's a daily driver that's not really an option.
  4. RolyG60, I had something similar happen with my G60 last year. Suddenly everything died, only to come back on a second later. It only did it a couple of time but when it did, that second felt like a long time when doing 60.... It also had problems with cutting out after starting from cold. Turned out to be one of the wires for the ISV had burnt through where it ran close to the manifold - at least since I found the burnt through wire and replaced it the problem hasn't reappeared. Hope that helps...
  5. Cheers guys. I was wondering if there was anywhere that I could buy one, and then when I swap them over I can send mine back as part if the exchange. Will have a look at the Trimsport page...
  6. Cheers Blue_Joe, I'll have a look around here to see if anyone can do it. I presume it needs to be well preped first (stripped, cleaned, sanded etc) before coating??...
  7. I am wanting to replace the slightly ratty rocker cover in my G60, and was wondering if anybody sells these already coated/painted/polished. I seem to recall rumours of someone who goes to No-Rice, but can't remember who it is. Any advice most welcome folks.....

    Head unit ~

IMHO Alpine are always a good bet (I have the 9815 which is similar to the 9812).. Where abouts are you based ??? I'm between Egham and V.Water, and not seen many Corrado's around here and you're more than welcome to have a look at my Alpine.
  9. I think you were looking at oil coolers on G-Werks site for £135. The front mounted intercoolers will be a bit more than that. Golf or Rallye ones typically go for £400 or more, and the custom made ones are about the same. The standard G60 ones go typically for less than £60. As I say, let me know if you get outbid on the ebay one - it'll be a lot less than £60...
  10. If you have a standard G60 then it's your intercooler behind the front bumper on the passenger side. If you don't get the one on Ebay, let me know as I have my old one spare (I've upgraded to a Golf one). Upgrading to a Golf one is a great modification to do, however it will cost you a lot more than a replacement original G60 one. If you're interested talk to g-man at G-Werks and the guys at Pistop Developments as they also do custom made uprated intercoolers.
  11. There is a demo video on their website showing them moving items around with the air from a set of their horns (albeit the $2k set the Nathan K3LA). That is incredible...
  12. Will have to have a look, although I'm running out of space in my engine bay. :D :D They'd be great round here, ideal for trying to get people to wake up when they can't be bothered to use their indicators....
  13. Oh, that is good - especially the ones with the dog walkers. Class...

    JMC's G60

Thanks GIXXERUK - I think there is already a spring under there so it makes me wonder if it used to be like that. And yes biggerbigben those calipers do look good, thank you for selling them... Just covered my gauge holder in alcantara. All I need to do now is cut 2 small sections out of the ashtray holder so that the gauges will fit. Typically the gauges are about 2mm to big to fit. Grrr...

    JMC's G60

Hi Dave - the heater controls were a bit of a challenge. Had some scans of the original ones sent through by randal, which I then played about with a bit in Photoshop to increase the resolution and change the colours. Then got 2 inkjet printouts on acetate so I could stick them together (one of the images flipped by 180 degress horizontally so that when they're stuck together the inked image can't be damaged). Needed 2 layers otherwise the black let the light through. Then found that it was pretty dark at the far ends away from the light, so installed 3 more 12V mini lights so that the whole thing lights up. Other than that it was easy... Also done the heated seat switch light in red (using glass paint rather than an LED).

    JMC's G60

Thanks for the feedback folks - always nice to hear some. Made the holder for my air/fuel and oil pressure gauges today - nice to have a bit of time off work to do these little odd jobs. All I have to do is figure out how to fit them now :? :?

    JMC's G60

Finally got the last bit of the centre console recovered using alcantara - the gear surround :) :) :) All there is left to do now is larger injectors, remap, toothed belt, recolour the remainder of the interior, install gauges etc, etc, etc.
  18. I'd be interested in a RedTop if there is a good discount to be had.

    Air Con???

Err, We didn't change any of the pulleys when the air con was taken out - should I changing mine over?? Why were they different?? Answers on a postcard please...

    Air Con???

GradeAFailure's right, my G60 had air con on until last year - removed it in favour of a Golf G60 intercooler. Also the air con hadn't worked for a while (when we took it out, the only thing that looked wrong with it was that one of the pipes was cut through). Seem to recall the compressor went beneath the charger. There is not a great deal of space left with it fitted, and you need the worlds longest belt to drive it all. Drop me a PM if you need any parts.
  21. Nice.... Can always let you have the plans for the twin bass speakers to replace the centre hump of the rear seat if you fancy some bass without losing any boot space..

    JMC's G60

Thanks 16v, still a few things left to do - custom remap, 2l engine rebuild (would be nice), gauges waiting to be installed, more bits to be covered in alcantara. Ah the joys of Corrado ownership :)

Finally got a piccie of the interior...

    JMC's G60

Thought long and hard about the rims - was never any doubt in my mind as to them being black though. I wanted a nice dark canvas to set the calipers off against 8) Gradually redoing the interior to be mainly red lit, and then black leather and grey alcantara for the seats and trim. Has been a long time, but she's gradually getting there... Dials are from the forum group buy with Dub Design Industries in Canada. They are really funky, and very, very bright when turned up full.

    JMC's G60

Thanks guys. Still need to give it a clean before new shots of the interior, but here's a couple in the mean time...
