It stops boost leaking out of faulty ISVs
-
You want to see the pile of parts adorning my office floor at the moment!!!
-
Don't think you'll find they are. They are 5.25" or 13.5cm in the doors. Then I think you'll find they are 1" tweeters in the dash however they are supported in a plastic mounting bracket!

It's an idle stabliser check valve

I know this will get locked immediately.... perhaps not....

70 deg Advance?????? I know you said don't ask but surely thats a typo! -
You dont fancy RS Audio then. If your willing to fork out on a Clifford then I would use Bass Junkies or Quiksilver in Birmingham, but they don't go mobile. However using a "shop" I would prefer than a mobile fitter as you always have somewhere to go if it goes belly up!!
-
Personally I would go for the Ibiza Cupra R setup. They are such an easy fit as they bolt straight on and the only "engineering" you have to do is cut the carrier bolts down by an inch and almost any dunce can manage that. If you buy them direct from SEAT they will cost you IIRC between £700-800 but thats everything you need (calipers, carriers, discs, pads, bolts) except the hoses which are £50 from Badger5. They are 305mm discs and 4 pot calipers, but that is everything all brand new. I was lucky and got mine at the beginning when they were only £500 all in!!! But even with the cost they are now, its not excessive and I can vouch for the stopping power, bearing in mind everything I have going on with my engine thats what I use!!!! And it stops dead! To a point where I stopped HARD one day and honestl;y thought I was going to do an endo ( i had the bias checked out after that!!!)

Intercooler definatly!!!!

You binning the G60 already??
-
The shop here I've been speaking to are Gwent VW which are a great bunch of guys and I have already discussed a group buy with them on the first call, so I think we should give them first refusal at it and I don't mind organising it! However their only reservation with a GB and rightly so is that when these first come out they tend to be in small batches. However they are happy to do so.

Use http://www.rsaudio.co.uk in Birmingham but will go mobile and they do Clifford or Toad
-
Have you used a new gasket on it!?????
-
I 've recently replaced this on mine, both the plate and the seal which is number 41!! It's just an opening into the water gallery, I don't believe it was ever used for anything as it is behind the timing belt!

Why is it that said car enthusiasts can't actually just watch the programmes for purely the entertainment value that they are intended to provide. Let's face it it never has for some years been a serious programme dedicated to the incatracies of the workings of each car. They have always been a "is it fast - lets have fun with it" Just either watch it and enjoy or don't! Not having a big dig! Just hate the whole points of view thing!
-
I'm still very tempted with the Clifford 650 due to the Anti Hijack etc. But whichever goes on I'm definatly putting a tracker on it! Prox sensors just make me stand closer to set them off! And lets face it, it's not going to make people move away from the car are they?
-
But as many said - it is totally dangerous!!! Last year I had to drive the car for a mile while I had no mirrors as they were being smoothed and painted. I've never had such a harrowing experiance. I almost sideswiped 2 people on a duel carriageway as I couldnt see them! and reversing I almost put it into a wall! Don't do it, not only is it an MOT Failure, downright dangerous, if the old bill want to they could sieze your car for being in an unroadworthy condition. All they have to do if they pull you over is call in one of their qualified inspectors and he can have it taken away and have you proscecuted

I think the 2 main ones in Birmingham are either Bass Junkies on the Coventry Road just past ASDA but they only do Clifford. Or RS Audio that do all of them (Toad, CLifford, Tracker and RAC Trackstar). http://www.rsaudio.co.uk/ 86 - 88 College Road Perry Barr B44 8DA I would always use a fitter that has a permanent premises so you always have somewhere to go if it goes wrong. But why would u want warn away. Thats one thing I will not have activated on mine. They annoy me when you stand somewhere and the car starts beeping at you "because your standing to close" - I'll stand where the *ell I like thank you!!!

Local and very talented fabricating company!!! I'm so happy with the result

Another charger is going to cost you unfortuantly, hence why on G60's the single most thing you look after is the charger. A secondhand one is going to set you back £500+ then budget £300 for a rebuild to be safe. Or you might pick one up £750+ for one recently rebuilt. However personally I would go for the first option and take it to G-werks for a rebuild. You can rest easy then safe in the knowedge it was done properly

Black Jax, it's a bit of a pain in some respects, but whenever you open the door you put in a code. That way, if someone tries to hijack the car, you can let them take it. It lets them go about 3/4 of a mile, waits until the car slows right down then cuts the engine so you can't restart it. Combine that with a Tracker, you can just let them take it knowing they wont get far. It may be a bit of a pain, but I've put alot of blood sweat tears and money into my car to risk it going in any method!!!!
-
The quality of Cliffords all depends on the install and which one you have. I've been looking it loads recently as about to install a new alarm and also a tracker on mine. It seems that you need to avoid the Intelliguard 950 (the expensive one) as it has the tilt sensor and the glass tamper sensor. These are teh problem devices apparently. The Alarm to go for is the Concept 650. The thing I like about it is the Black Jax anti Hijack. Second thing going on my car is a Tracker device so if it does go it is monitored 24/7 and the vast majority of cars with them are retrieved undamaged.

I've been looking into this for mine. Definatly Clifford
-
This is why the garage I am now using when the car is back is WELL bolted and I have ordered a security post for behind the door! Also I have booked the car in when it gets back for both a new alarm and a tracker!

I think you'll find they are Ali Edit**** I take it back! -
Thanks fella!! I did originally paint my charger and everything else however I quickly found that with paint it chipped easily, but with it being black it showed up the chips really badly!! I haven;t dewedged the teh TB, only because I am yet to figure out the advantage of doing so!!!!
