Ah - metn to remove that! Someone has beaten you to it!"!
-
Also - Yey! Got the finished article of the timing belt cover back today after a few minor adjustments and the fitting of the lip on the top edge to fit on the rocker cover. It looks amazing!!! The craftsmanship has been excellent! Now just the long task of smoothing the welds on the retainers for the clips and sanding it down to a perfectly smooth finish ready for me to polish it at the weekend! Anyway - a few pics of it for you!!!

I do agree the charger looks fantastic. The nice touch I didn't mention that makes it really stand out is that to contrast agains't the black powdercoating you will see that I have had all of the bolt heads chromed to give it a little extra "bling" And thanks for all the rest of the comments guys - at the moment it's the main thing keeping me sane with this car at the moment. However as an update. The pistons have now all been approved and signed off at long last. Tehy have now started production on them and they "should" be with Racepower in 3-4 weeks.

HELP! just got New Engine (Said 53k) But I Have A Bad Feelin
Blue_Joe replied to BlackHeartValentine's topic in Engine Bay
The top picture of the TB I wouldn't say is a major issue as that only houses the base of the spindle for the boost return butterfly and it's bearing. (and you have your old one!) In the 3rd pic - you have a problem. There is a bearing cap missingand they are matched to the head not the cam! Not sure waht you can do about it. Dont put the one off your old head on as it will seize the cam. -
They have to give you 28 days to notify then 6 months to prosecute. I was given a notice of intended prosecution when caught doing high speed in the company car on the day. However thought I'd got away with the prosecution as didn't hear. But I did hear..................... 1 day before the deadline!!! It's almost like they have a very warped sense of humour!

Ok so I've gone and done more!!!! New strut brace is ready, had it all chromed up so as to contrast against the black!!! Also it does mean that when my car is back I will have a strut brace for sale. It's exactly the same as this one but powdercoated black if anyone is interested!!!! **EDIT** OOooooo That picture has lost all it's quality when uploaded. But you get the general idea anyway!!!!

I can't see them being that much. I reckon budget 100 notes! Any other guesses?? Perhaps we should make a sweepstake  get enough people in might end up the winnings could end up paying enough for the winners set!!!

MMMMmmmmmmmmm No firm responce from my contact or In-Pro themselves. Mt contact is waiting for a response. In-Pro have said that they are preparing the product (at least I think that is what they meant as their english wasn't great!) and they haven't confirmed a shipping date yet! If you look at the notice on the shelf below the light it says something along the lines of will be available in 2(or a few) weeks. Sorry In-Pros english isn't great and my German is very basic

URGENT Help needed!!!!! Need picture of underside of G60 TB
Blue_Joe replied to Blue_Joe's topic in Engine Bay
Thanks All back together crisis averted! -
I usually take the view that if it seems too good to be true then it probably is! However if you look at his feedback, then although this is not the normal type of thing that he sells he has in his items sold a few golf items of which one is VR6 related, so that would comfort me a little! Usually the scammers hack a random account so you find that the item being sold is completely unrelated to normal sales. Other than that I think you need to make up your own mind, but I wouldn't personally be so worried about it that I didn't buy it! You just need to go with your gut feeling. Remember, you can get some bargains on ebay, but you can get burn't

People Running Front Solid Engine Mounts Please read....
Blue_Joe replied to Shaggy's topic in Engine Bay
Sure will........................ But I can tell you I won't be going back to a solid mount (even a BBM one) whatever the outcome. The only other choice would be all round Vibra mounts, but that is EXPENSIVE! -

As promised some pics of the mount I am going to try out from Darren Thanks again Darren! -
Well I thought I'd show you all a glimpse of what else I've been doing to spruce up the car under the bonnet while it is off the road!!!! Now you'll see why I had the Ali covers fabricated to contrast with the colour of the rest of the engine I've now powdercoated almost everything that can be in Gloss Black to match the black body colour. Match up with flashings of red to match the G60 badges on things such as the centre band of the alternator, red silicone leads, red silicone boost tubes that you've seen before and also I've managed to find red cotton overbraid vacuum hoses and the same for my methanol injection piping! Also SS overbraid fuel pipes. On top of this I'm redoing the boost pipes using a Rallye outlet on the charger and new polished ali boost tubes that will be done on the cars arrival back in Birmingham to match the ali covers and fuel rail. Done a bit more porting to the Throttle body as you can see!!! Plenty more to come soon but thought I'd give you an update!!!!
-
I've had to strip down my throttle body to replcae some bits on it and do some porting. However in my wisdom I forgot how to put part of it back together and I cannot for the life of me work it out!!!! I need to figure out how the boost return butterfly linkage goes back together, the part on the underside outer part of the throttle body. So if anyone has one off the car at the mo, of has pics of how it all goes back together I would be very grateful. If taking fresh pics could you do it at a few angles to help me get best idea of how it goes. I need to get this back together tonight hopefully!!!! Thanks guys (and girls!)

Hi None of the Corrados have airbags and never have! Also the Corrado really isn't any bigger than a Puma, maybe slightly but nothing major.
-
They are gorgeous - Alwasy love those wheels!!!!!!
