  1. Nicedice, cheers thats my squib! Badges fell off to hide the fact its a wee 16 valver. :)
  2. Hi I have a similar clunk and think that on my car its the inside of the wheel catching on the Anti Roll bar, it only happens on full lock and usually when parking!

    flat battery

Hi I had a problem like this with mine and it turned out my passanger heated mirror was on constantly!! It did take a bit longer than two days to go flat but this might be because the driver side heated mirror has never worked? I pulled the fuse so not sure what caused it, prob a short somewhere

    Rear Wheel Alignment

Hi As far as I'm aware four wheel alignment involves adjusting the fronts in line with the rears. The rears have no adjustment as its a fixed axle. The fronts are adjustable for toe in and camber buts thats it. :)

    drivers door problem

I used a BIG hammer and a small drift to knock the pins out! It took a lot of beating to get them out and sometimes you need to get an angle grinder and chop up the bit of hinge you are replacing. It is a nightmare and I have had to do it on a few cars  The washer thing works ok but it does move the door nearer to the wing and I wouldnt say its the best way to solve it. Depends if you wanna do it right or bodge it :)

    drivers door problem

I have had this problem and had to remove the door and replace the door hinge pins and the part of the hinge that bolts to the car. I got the parts from the main dealer and they were not expensive but it was a total nightmare of a job :!:
  7. I have had this buzzing problem with many vw cars and its always been due to low oil levels. The buzzer comes on when you corner sharply because the oil has surged away from the oil pressure sensor. All my cars have pissed oil out at some point so I have had lots of experience with this
  8. Hi I wouldnt grind the lip on the back arch away as thats the point where the innner and outer arch is joined. I suppose if its done properly in a body shop then it can be sealed and finished properly but I would watch as you could end up with rust if its not done properly :!:
  9. Hi Decided to add my view in support of the Milltek system. I have personally fitted one to my 16v C and it went on perfectly and has given me no problems at all. Its not loud at all and in fact my mate asked what the point of fitting it was considering its so quiet!! The only change is a slightly deeper tone to it at low revs. I also noticed its a very light system and this puts less weight on the rubbers and reduces the chance of any knocking over the axle area. Many exhausts do seem to suffer from this problem. All in all am very happy with it. :D

Look Honda boy your gettin a slagging here so away and collect yer pension old timer!! You never raced me in your Golf GTI but yes it was fairly quick for a rust infected death trap :) Dont mention my cut in shut MK1, your taking things to far here and I think I am going to be forced to mention........ Yes I going to mention it.... The White MK1 Astra Van & the jobby brown Talbot Samba that you owned not so long ago   I would also like to point out that my car has been very reliable and only let me down due to a dodgy GSF clutch plate 8) By the way your not going to hold this against me as I would still like to get my boss kit off you :)

What you doing on here ya dobber!! I feel compelled to mention that you drive a HONDA. Not even a fast HONDA but a hair dryer powered old grey haired mans model. Get back to Halfords and get me some discount on something Why is Bacon called Bacon? He no seem to keen to tell people!
  13. Hello I did the same to mine and it was reasonable straight forward. You will need all the parts you mentioned but I have no idea if the Passat parts will work? The hardest bit is fitting the regulators but the wiring is also time consuming as it will require you to lift all the carpet out on the passanger side! The electric window loom also includes the central locking loom and when you fit the new one you will need to remove your old central locking loom prior to fitting. The control unit sits behind the rear quarter panel on the offside. Actually looking back on it all it took me almost a day to do! Ermm good luck

Looks like a Sparco one will fit and its supposed to be on its way. Think I will keep looking at options just in case!! The momo boss wont fit my wheel without an adaptor but thats an option I could look into if the Sparco doesnt work. I will keep a look out on Ebay, Cheers. :)

    Steering Wheel Boss

Thats ok its not a Mountney wheel, its a Nardi wheel I picked up off a guy at International. I wasnt sure if I could get one of their bosses so I tried Mountney as they said it would fit no probs? Probably try one of the other manufacturers you mention. Thanks. :)

Ok thanks for the info. My mate has had a real hard time dealing with Mountney as they are swearing it should fit my car! Would help if they knew their own products

    Steering Wheel Boss

Hello Wonder if anyone can help? I'm trying to fit an aftermarket steering wheel using a mountney boss kit and they seem to have supllied me with an early type small splined boss kit! The factory who i'm dealing with through a friend in Halfords are saying I have the correct boss and have to remove the outer adaptor on my steering colum to make it fit?? This seems like a lot of crap to me and was wondering if anyone has fitted a wheel to their Corrado using a mountney boss kit and did they have any problems?? :?
  19. 1989 Corrado 16V, 28 Years old and full no claims discount, no mods(declared) and clean licence. Churchill cost me £337 but I could of had it for 300 ish with Elephant.co.uk but didnt want the hassle of changing for 30 quid!! Hate insurance companys and never pay for anything I dont need as they will only try and screw you over anyway. Therefore always T.P.F.T for me and I will take my chances without Comp or protected NCD.

    Noisy Dash

I had a similar problem with my Corrado and it turned out to be the indicator stalk rattling. It was the end piece of plastic on it and it just needed glued.
