As it turns out, it was a wrong bulb in the taillight tray... single filliment instead of dual fillimant... thus, one contact point instead of two... the circuit for the whole car was being completed in the right taillight tray so that the brakes lights were wired into the same circuit as the parking lights.

Okay guys, I'd been blessed with a corrado that didn't bother having any electrical problems, untill last night. So I was installing my DDI gauges and fillally got them all together and put everything back in and turned them on. Great, they light up beautifully. the problem is, it seems that somehow I've reversed my brake lights with my parking lights. This means of course that when I turn my lights on, my brake lights come on, center light included, and when the switch is off, and I hit the brake, my headlights turn on. HELP, my inspection is due at the end of the month and this will fail it. Does any one have any idea how this can happen, I snipped no wires and when I disconnect the guages from the light switch it still does it so it's not the install of the gauges..

I would estimate there to be about 10 Corrados in the maritimes. I am the only known Corrado in my province. There was quite a bit of buying and selling of Corrados here in the maritimes around March, but they seem to have dried up... I'm keeping an eye out for a G60 in case I can't find the proper one over the pond. Even that's not easy... unless you're prepared to spend about $8,000.

Alright I bought a set of FK rear taillights (didn't get the bulb trays)and I go to put them in and although the taillights bolt right up, the trays do not snap into place as they did with the stock lights. So my question is, as aftermarket lighting is generally manufactured for the European market, is there a difference between the European bulb tray and the north American bulb tray? Here's some pics (though they could be better) to show the difference between the backings on the passanger side rear, outer light. Obviously the silvery one is the aftermarket tail. Any help is appreciated.

Nope it's Brilliant Black Metallic. The first two pics Dinkus helped me detail.

It occured to me that I don't post here often, and that I might start. So those who don't know me... I'm Andrew, from the East Coast of Canada, from the province of Prince Edward Island. My Corrado is a work in progress and more work is being done every week (now that it's paid off). Suggestions are always welcome. On the list right now are new taillights and Samco hoses, also little by little I'm swapping the old style interior to that of the new.

He didn't however make them smell fresh as a daisy... it's like he ate beans for a week.... My poor poor passanger seat.
-
Hey Andrew The plan is that Dinkus there is going to fly into Halifax, and we'll be driving from there. We'll be going through New Brunswick (love that route 2) and Quebec... maybe we could meet in Fredricton or Edmonston.... still have some time to do all this and much has to be completed on my Corrado before the journey begins...

any word or pics of where these things plug into the fuse panel?
-
I think they're from a G60, I didn't know there was any difference... I need not the heated harness hook up, Canadian Corrados all had heated seats, mine just simply plugged in, thanks though... I'll take a pic... Man flashes makes leather look bad.

US/Canadian Corrado owners Vs Muscle Cars
chimo replied to belfastfumanchu's topic in General Car Chat
Hey guys... A VR will destroy the V6 J-bodies (camaro/firebird), and will run quite well with 5.0 liter mustangs, anything bigger, we need work to play. -
that would rock if you could hook me up.

Hello from Canada. It's been a while since I was on here last. Over the last month or so I imported black leather power Recaros from Germany. With the seats came all the OEM harnesses for the both the heated function and the electric motors. I'd like to use the existing wiring, and I'm sure that somewhere the harness can plug into the fuse area. Butr after looking at that rat's nest of wiring, I have no idea where the lead and the ground plug into. Can you guys help me out... I came up empty with the Corrado Club of Canada, and American Corrados never got Recaros...

I was in Moncton New Brunswick Canada, where regular unleaded is 103.2 cents/liter. that's 87 octane. about .42 pounds that is extremely high for here in canada

the best ice of course must be imported from Canada I'm so proud!! what a waste of time.

anyone have a link to the fottage for us North American owners. I love that show.

hhey guys... here's that Canadian Content I can supply that Civic is part of the "Pacer" program... it more or less goes to meets and promotes racing, but safely on tracks rather than streets. Vancouver has a VERY high asian population and street racing in the past has been a problem. The Civic SiR is the meanest civic we see on our shores. No Type R has ever been available here, and no Skyline either. Actually Mitsubishi (as Mitsubishi) only started selling cars in Canada 1.5 years ago. Around Toronto Ontario, Canada. Cops have been known to turn siezed cars into the fleet. Many cars have turned into undercover cars in this respect, most notably, a 2003 Audi RS6. The don't sticker them because they are not reinforced. and in the event of impact, they don't take it as well. Toronto has a fleet of Chevrolet Camaro Z28s and Corvettes for the 401, one of the major highways in the country. This is nothing compared to Texas, where they have been known to have Saleen tuned Mustangs, Dodge Viper GTRs, and a few Porsche 911TTs.

everytime I take my Boeing out, I make sure that the slaves have waxed up the jet. sounds like crazy stuff. It's probably maddeningly expensive.
-
I hope there's a syncro conversion in mind too... how are you going to put that kind of power down? you're going to spin like a mofo. 500 is madness, never mind 8   on a side note, who's corrado is running 11s? That's faster than any Rado I know of.... bill schimmel's was in that neighborhood, but has since been broken. There's a guy doing a 24V VR6 TT rear engine, RWD swap, that's going to be insane when it's completed.

Thanks for clearing that up guys... I had no idea.... I'm going to have to take a trip over there and learn to understand you guys, and learn to drive on that side of the road. Dinkus, there's a rather lengthy post on vortex about the CCC season opener. I'm sure somone will adopt you at the car show. Get a hold of "Zarman" he's likely able to hook you up with somebody, he's likely the one to contact. I'd offer, but the gilrfriend will be there, and I'm likely not going to have any rear seats (I'm picking up a set of Recaros in Toronto, I'm leaving my rear leathers behind to save space). one question to you guys... Are Zender body kits difficult to come by over there? I scored an original kit (front and rear bumpers, side skirts and wing) and an Oettinger grille for $300 canadian / about 125 pounds. I think I got a really good deal.

those last posts made me very confused.... :?: what????

see it would be bad if it were a ford or a chevy or something, but it's a corrado... with a nice big stereo and a girl in the passanger seat!! 18 hours is alot... I have to go to a wedding the next weekend, so I'm just going a week early... timing worked out well all the same, it makes me look hardcore!!
-
I'm a member of the Corrado Club of Canada.. same name... I'm just not overly active on the site... I'm going to the season opener, 18 hour drive... in the Rado going to be fun, I can't wait
-
cool little movie, there's actually 2 corrados in it and the silver on at the first is either a 3.0 or 3.1... think it's a 3.0
