  1. My first car was a Briliant Black Metallic 1993 Corrado VR6. I still have this car, it's waiting for me in storage back home in Canada. Had a 1986 Mk2 w/ piles and piles of OEM+ mods... was my "winter" car three years ago... wonder where it is now...No pics of it here... and my daily is a 1992 Corrado 2.0 16V I'm quite sure I'm the only person on the board that has two Corrados, seperated by an ocean.
  2. That is the stuff... and now I'm stepping away from this conversation...
  3. 2000 grit wet sand and compound polish. Mequires makes a wax/polish/compound for plastic, but I'm not sure if you can get it over here... Comes in a white bottle.
  4. lol.... lots of camaros though I bet. All this mocking of the best hair ever. Business on the top, party in the back. The OFFICIAL haircut of rock and roll.
  5. OK.... seemt o have figured it out, but don't know what happened. I thought it sounded like an exhaust leak... Now that the car is cold, turned it over and figured that the sound is a leak off the exhaust manifold, in the picture there's a boltish thing on the right side. There's usually an arm sticking out of this to my recolection. The arm is gone, no visable break. What the hell is the arm actually for?... I remember it just being there and pivoting around seemingly with no purpose. Is this something really required or can I get that closed off somehow?
  6. ok... rotten, it can't be that then... there must be another issue, as there's definite engine noise and lackluster performance.
  7. Hey guys, started the car after work this evening and it didn't sound so healthy.... eventually got under the hood and found this lovely crack in this pipe... I don't really know what this pipe is for, but it does seem to be sucking the life out of the engine. I'm kinda worried as this is my daily... and my fiance's daily as well.... is it healthy to drive it this way for a short amount of time?
  8. consider that if he can't figure out what it is, he's not likely to be able to fix all the annoying bits that will eventually fail on a Corrado. If he's local, you might have to be stuck watching your former car go downhill.
  9. He's chewing a huge bone. what? Did I hear Dinkus?... wait a minute....
  10. hey does anyone know if the seat back material (foam) from Golfs might be the same from Ford RST seats?
  11. I have a line for one seat back... now just need to find the other... then finish paying off my Recaros.. Looks like I might be answering the quetsion and doing the write-up :)
  12. 30 views and no opinions?
  13. Canada has roads that make sence. This obsession with roundabouts is well beyond insane and dangerous given different countries have different rule regarding them. Of course then there's the folks (all of them) that don't bother following the rules. Then when you blow your horn at the bastids for nearly sideswiping you after a failed (or non-existant) shoulder check, you get flashed their favorite finger. It's my strong opinion that per capita roads at home are safer because they don't have roundabouts. There are accidents on Canadian/US roadways, of course, and when they occur, you can be 't-boned' much more easily... the question is do you want more accidents of less severity, or few accidents with more dire consequences? I firmly believe that proper merge lanes combined with proper lights is safer than roundabouts. The provincial governments obviously think so as well, given their rarity at home. In a 300+ mile radius of my home in Canada, I know of two. Two. 2 of the bloody things. Of course then they're the issue of being able to legally turn (right) at a stop light or stop sign? :nono: Why the hell can't we legally stop at the light and then turn left if no one is coming? This just contributes to issues regarding the flow of traffic. Back on topic.... that driver is skilled...
  14. well... how interesting... I wonder if my corrado have been raped?
  15. Dont see any LMs .... see a set or CR7s...

not fussy on them tbh... remind me of Konig Imagines... might be interested in those as they're a single fitment but look quite similar

    LED's in switches

late spec rearview mirrors as well. Headlight adjusters if you have them, heated seats if you have them :)
  19. it would kill me to be the one that had to cut the leather for the doors... :( however, If I were you I'd swap to late spec appointments, or at least speaker pods... to avoid even more holes...
  20. OMG im well upset, i spent two evenings doing a photoshop of my corrado and apart from the wheels and a couple of tiny touches its exactly that one! dammit!anyone know if this is a UK or foreign one? US based. Can't remember where though.
  21. ehadliner shouldn't be any problem... mthe carpets howevere are going to be a pain in the ass as they're different from typical Brit spec. you might have to get a carpet from the mainland... although there was a guy on ebay breaking a US spec car. .. try looking him up.
  22. Got my Vr6 in May 2001, so almost 7 years.. crazy... I bought the valver in February 08.
