  1. I don't fancy changing the manifold to re-fit the cat for the mot every year, so not really for me - Sorry. I don't think i could handle that either to be fair, but it may be possible to modify the end to fit the Cat as shown in the exceptionally badly modified picture???
  2. I've just had a word with Neil at TSR, and he said that he would do 5% discount for 10+ and 10% discount for 20+ of the Golf 2 16v stainless manifold that they do normally priced at £264. He did say that these manifold will go straight on pre 93 cars ie. without a CAT, but post 93 16v's (9a) you would in fact loose the ability to have the CAT as it is designed to replace the first silencer (or Cat in the case of post 93 cars). Furthermore, if you have a lambda probe, they would require drilling and tapping for them to fit into the manifold as they don't come standard predrilled (obviously cos the K-jet doesn't have a lambda) Is that any good, what do you reckon guys?
  3. Might have to get a 4-1 manifold if it fits then? From what I can understand its definately the 4-2-1 dimensions that cause the problem. Maybe a group buy for the same one that Flusted has got might be worth looking into, cos the only thing I've not mucked about with is the exhuast manifold.
  4. I think the main problem is that it is a 4-2-1 manifold, and where the manifold passes past the steering rack/column, it is effectively too wide.
  5. The steering rack/column was in the way and with it touching it where it comes down through the bulkhead from the steering column. It would have needed 1.5" worth of persuasion, and by doing that the centre most pipes wouldn't have been able to attach to the bottom most section of the manifold. It definately don't fit dude, and I'm seriously gutted
  6. Fitted some Lupo wipers the other day....Xmas pressie off the folks, and it has got to be the single best mod I've done to my C so far. Wow the difference is huge! I can see! Tried fitting a stainless steel manifold off the Bay today as well, but it doesn't fit....gutted!
  7. I'm totally gutted too. They are giving me a full refund though once I've sent it back to Belgium! They wanted to know why it didn't fit too! The only thing is its just cost me £70 to try and fit it! By the way Scarlett, I'm liking the new rims
  8. No stock at Euro car parts....gutted
  9. Might have to check that out --^
  10. Not sure, I think it might, but I don't know.
  11. It doesn't fit a Corrado with a 9A engine!!!! It fouls on the steerin rack in my RHD Corrado! Gutted. Now I'm going to try and get my money back off the guy off eBay.
  12. Hasn't H8RRA got that film on his lenses? Calling Andi..........Where did you get your headlight protectors from?
  13. That's rather nice... Welcome one and all! Doesn't the QPE plug and play jobby only plug and play into 8v Digifant systems?
  14. VW don't do them :( Anyone know where I could get some from?
  15. Had a stone chip in my drivers side lense just before Christmas, actually you could put your finger through the bloody hole, so I went down to local stealers and ordered a new lense for £28. fitted no probs, then would you bloody believe it, I went out to my C on Friday, and these a bigger hole in the other lense! :( :( And they don't do headlight protectors for the C.... I know £28 isn't much but I am a poor student with a car that is fantastically expensive to run.....lol Just thought I'd share that with you all. Not posted on here for fookin ages
  16. I've bought one of these exhaust manifolds too, arrived last week, and its being fitted tomorrow (hopefully) I'll let you know how I get on. The quality of it is really very good, but I guess the proof is in the pudding eh! :chef: Figers crossed
  17. That depends on the condition of the rado..... Mine should cover a new oil filter!!!
  18. Oh what a car! The noise it makes is possibly the most awesome sound I've ever heard! 1) Win lottery... 2) Buy Veyron..... 3) Live happily ever after! Did you know million to one chances happen 9 times out of 10.......
  19. Holy mother of god, just seen your avatar and thought "oh F**K". Glad you are ok, damn lucky I'd say. Probably a good thing the transit was there, hey?
  20. I know this might be a blooooody long shot, but I don't suppose anyone has any idea which protocols are used on VW for the OBD II connections? I know which ones Ford and GM use, but not VW/Audi. Anyone? Help,,,, please!!!
  21. He had me at 90 on the VAS, but said that if it is not acurrate when it gets checked that evening and it is inaccurate he would rip the ticket up!
  22. Hello, not been on here for a while, but I had to share the depression, and also that I was quite lucky. Got caught speeding today! 90mph in a 60mph limit! Depression, done by a Police bike.... you would think that I would have seen a florescent bike behind me for 1/4 mile, hilst I sat there at 90mph having just overtaken 3 cars! I must be blind!! Anyway, he let me off with just £60 fine and 3 points, although he had me on VAS at 90mph for 1/4 mile, and a bit over that at one point. He used his discretion as I have no previous point in 11 years of driving, and I think he liked the Corrado! :) Fair does I think my faith has returned a bit, cos he was actually quite a nice fair Policeman. He got me fair and square, but was leanient. Oh well not too bad considering!
