Temp was 108 deg C, but I've had it up to 122 with no probs. Light and buzzer always come on at the same time as far as I'm aware.

Housten we may have a problem... Just done a 35 mile journey and after giving the car a bit of stick (not caning it) the oli pressure light started flashing three times, for about 10 seconds each time. I've checked thje oil level, but that is fine, it was about halfway between the witness marks on the dipstick. Normally the light only flashes when the oil is low and you've just caned it around a corner, but this time its doing on the flat after i've slowed down a bit. I'm a bit worried, any of you lot got any ideas?? I've not fcked the engine have I? It uses a bit of oil, but not loads, and its done 127k miles. Help? P.S. I reckon she knows I'm thinking of selling her!!!

Partial to a bit of Wogan too! And I'm 3 years younger than you! Is that sad? Also been listening to most recently Bob Marley - Legend, Coral - The Invisible Invasion, High Contrast, John Digweed - Live at Fabric - quality tuneage!

I thought the 2.9 was the original, but downgraded to 2.8 due to one of the outer most cylinder walls being too thin and more prone to overheating? I'm probably wrong though!

Yeah not keen on fleabay uk now, I run an eBay shop for the company I work for part time, and its just rediculous, far too many people trying to make a quick buck. I already donate monthly to this forum, although not a great deal of money at the mo (student), but I think the forums are the way forward Brabus, Schnitzer, AMG seem to be quite good options, and then the obvious BBS, recaros etc, as you say steveo29, for the Golf/Corrado community. We wouldn't be there to try and rip people off, just to try and make some money and get people what they want for a better price, better than stupid eBay prices at least.

Both legs probably! ROFL..... brilliant, but not really an option! I'll tell her you said that! Yes chrishill I'm liking the limited mileage thing, going to be living cycling distance from work, so its a possibility.

Interesting! We were thinking of widening the net to all VAG, but didn't think about doing all german cars. AMG bits, M-series bits etc, but I think the second hand parts market is more viable, just linking into the uk forums and possibly Fleabay, although fleabay wouldn't be my preferred point of sale.
-
Doing it in spare time was the plan. And the second hand stuff on German eBay seems to be only shipped within Germany, so if my mate were to buy the stuff, send it to me then I sell it on. Plus he speaks pretty much fluent German. He's moving to Stuggart.

I'd like to think that it'd be worth a bit more than that :( It sounds like a goodun to me. To be fair the bodywork isn't brilliant, scuffs on three of the wheel arches and bumpers (like it when I got it) and the nearside rear arch has had a repair on it that wasn't great. (not me either) She has to have the seat lifted up so it is pretty much tilted forward, and she doesn't feel confortable like that..... Just a thought...wanted to stay in the VW family, but have reasonable fuel economy. I dunno really, like I said spent a bit on the C to get it right, and i'm usure if I'd be stupid to sell a car that is pretty much all running well.....

Just a quick feeler to see if there is a market for a small business venture between me and my friend. My mate will be moving over to Germany in June/July, and we are thinking about sourcing various Corrado parts that are sought after in the UK, but are normally difficult to get hold of. i.e desirable alloys etc. Do you think there is any mileage in it or not?
-
Looking that way..... :( :( :( What's my Corrado worth then?? £2000?

Milton or Waterbeach, which are only about miles out of Cambridge, so a bus pass or train pass is fine, until we want to vist the folks (Shropshire and Wiltshire) !
-
That's my dilema. That's what Carleena said (the missus). I don't need to persuade her, because the Corrado was originally hers, we swapped after about 1 month of having it because it stalled three times on her at junctions (problem with the Car, not her fault). She liked driving it, but she is quite small (5'4") and she struggles to reach the pedals!! She does love the pug! OR.... Do I sell both and buy a Mk2 Golf GTD? Or something similar that is cheaper? I don 't obviously want to sell the raddo, but they aren't the cheapest of cars to run! I have spent quite a bit on her too, so am I just throwing money away??? What to do, what to do???? :? :? :?

Right, I just wanted some of your thoughts! The missus and I will be moving to Cambridge in June/July, and we will not need two cars anymore, so we will be selling one of them. We have a grand plan to pay off all our debt (mostly mine from uni) within two years, so one of the cars has to go. The question is which one. You all know that I've got a Corrado 2.0l 16v K-reg 127k miles in reasonably good condition. The missus has my old Pug 306 DTurbo T-reg 103k miles. Which one do you reckon is going to be the best one to keep, given that we both love our cars. What are they both worth? Corrado in Burgundy Pearl 2.0l 16v 127k miles Loads of receipts since I've had it (2years) Ported Polished head Port matched Magnex Stainless Cat bypass KR cams Koni/H&R 9 x 16" Borbet A's Powerflex rear bushes New front wishbones and drop links and bottom ball joints VR6/G60 280mm discs/calipers Mk4 Golf rear calipers Goodrich brake lines Green Cotton Air filter Grill spoiler Debadged Grill Brand new headlight lenses Uprated wiring loom Pug 306 in Diablo Red 1.9 DTurbo 3-door 103k miles Full Pug service history Turbo wound up Fuel pump wound up Pipercross air filter Eibach Springs Colour coded everything Side skirts TSW 15" Hockenhiem Alloys modified dash with two head units What are your thoughts?

Yesterday, I sorted out some of the engine wiring, so its not resting on the gear linkage, disconnected and reconnected battery to clear ECU faults, fitted my grill spoiler, and gave it a good clean inside and out!
-
Good explanation! Mine tramlines like a biatch...do ya think its the tyres on my 9 x 16 borbets??
