  1. They aren't too bad to do, but I can fit the kit for you if you don't like the idea of cutting your loom. They will be available after Christmas, yes!
  2. There seems to be quite a substantial difference between the KR head and the 9a AFAIK. Apparently the KR head has far more open ports! I'd be tempted to just use you existing KR head on a 9a bottom end. It would probably be worth rebuilding the head at the same time. I've done this and as long as you have spring compressor, it isn't difficult to do, just replace the stem seals and cam followers! (might be worth polishing up the ports at the same time!)
  3. How about the ignition module? Its an expensive bit, as I've replaced mine (although not the cause of my problem), and is VW only part but it could be that?
  4. Could you not just wait to find one that is the right colour? I've recently had my door bu99ered by some pikey, can't afford to have second hand door resprayed, so waiting for the right colour one to turn up!
  5. Not yet, but that shouldn't be a problem. Wiring is the same for fitting.
  6. Sounds like a good price that dude! Did look smart at the RR Day, I must say! 8) and its coming together nicely now..... ......mmmmm supercharger 8) 8)
  7. Quite funny taken out of context! How much you paying for the Weitec's dude?
  8. It takes RPM signal into the shift light unit, and that will be the same for 4 pots and VR's, so it should work fine on a VR! Does that mean you want one?
  9. You can come to me if you like. Send me a PM dude

No sure on the adapters, but I think 6J would be too small on the front
  11. When you replaced the rotor arm, you didn't damaged the distributor did you? The reason I say that is when I replaced my rotor arm on mine I had to geta screw driver under it to leaver it off and bent the cylindrical bit inside slightly causing it to foul on the hall sensor inside the distributor. This gave intermittant issues with starting. Worth a look?
  12. I thought it was twilight violet. The reason I asked is when we were looking to buy a Rado we saw one that colour in the Shrewsbury hospital car park and it looked aubergine in colour. That was the colour we wanted, but could we find one?? Nope! Wished I'd held out for one that colour now!
  13. What colour is the C in the middle? Cheers
  14. The clocks send a signal out to the spoiler control module, so they do play a big part in the spoiler operation. Your issue doesn't sound like a clock issue though to be fair, but if you like I can have a look at them??
  15. Right guys and gals, quick update It seems that the VR6 clocks and 16v clocks are a little more different than they are at first glance! The transistor that I changed on my 2.0l 16v clocks fixed mine a treat, but the VR6 clocks although the look the same the component is infact a diode not a transistor. The components are the same shape and in the same place, but the VR6 ciruit is quite different and it actually looks like this particular issue with the transistor blowing on the 16v clocks had been found by VDO and fixed with the updated clocks (with the addition of a thermal fuse/resistor). So for the VR boys the component is just a standard diode. I'll post up the part number etc. from RS or Farnell later.
  16. "It looks like a Nissan from the front"
  17. My favourite seats! Got a set of them on my want list too! Mmmmm lovely! 8) 8) [/envy]
  18. Can't really afford it at the mo. Just looked at the door and its buggered! proper bent the inner and outer door skins! Reet pi$$ed off! Just need to sell loads of shift lights to fund a new door!
