Yeah thats so true! Dont floor it....if you are going along say at 30...then gradually push foot to floor...they really take off I dont mind it to much as it sort off gives the car character hehe :) But I guess it would be nice to have to have the power there all the time. Does anyone from pitstop developments frequent these forums??

I would be up for it so long as I got some more info proving or explaining why/how they are better than Jabbas...not just the sales blurb on the website The idea of no lag is very appealing :) My golf gti had exact same prob to what with digi etc.

How about these chips to: http://www.pitstopdevelopments.com/parts.phtml?s=chip Works out cheaper than Jabba who are 250 for chip and pulley. Anyone got one of these? the riddance of lag would be nice but are they any different to Jabba ones?

What about acceleration?? :) Big differences? :) Reckon these chips are better than Jabbas ones? Cool thanks for all the info :) Mine was rolling roaded in December giving 163 at flywheel so hopefully it has a good starting base. Do you notice a really big diff in acceleration then? more noise eh? hehe mine is so bloody loud as it is.....has a 5" rear pipe :/

Will be getting stage 4 rebuilt / chip and pulley soon and had a few queries :) Already have powerflow custom exhaust decatted and Green induction soooo... 1) Should I notice a big/worthwhile increase in power...like is it immediately apparent they shift? 2) What effect will it have on the torque/power curve/band on the revs? 3) What else should I get done other than oil feed cleaned/replaced? (ie intercooler cleaned etc..) (getting it removed and sent to Jabba by local German garage so hoses etc wil be done there) 4) Where did I leave my other set of car keys? :)

just spent near 700 quid last week..will be another 7-900 for charger in total with chip and pulley :shock: :shock:

So it was rebuilt at 60000 and 120000? What was the mileage when it went?

Bad luck :/ Were there any signs it was gonna go? Loss of power or noise? I assume it was original charger to..never rebuilt

A golf mk2 manual would be more helpfu (haynes) but still go to a garage ;) you sound eager..but not meaning to be rude..naive. I was once of the same moind to save money -

to be brutally honest..the fact you are asking all this I would recommend you got it done at a garage. Maybe do the discs yourself but allow a day at be VERY careful. To do bushes you will need more than axle stands IMHO Not the sort of thing you want make a dogs dinner of Hammer + bearings is a dangerous combination ;) also the fact you have got decent parts..is it worth comprimising them?? -

bushes will be a bitch to do...and suspension can be a sod to remove bolts Brakes should be ok if you are handy. I just got very similar work done to that list today. Cost me 600 odd quid tho and included new rad and all timing/charger/alt belts -
ahh nice :) I was actually reading the suspension bible part this evening :) Didnt realise they had the oil section too...nice one

what oil does everyone use in their G60's Had mine changed today and they used semi synth shell helix 15/40 iirc. I thought it was meant to be fully synth and something less viscous? They were adamant this was best tho

can you get anythign like the weighted the shift rod idea for golfs? I would like a more solid feel. Or am I stuck with it cos of cable change?

kewl..seems fine then :D gonna have a big bill tomorrow tho :/ timing belts / rear shocks /front pads / radiator possible bushes and anti roll doh on the plus side..i reckon the shocks/running gear stuff had a lot to do with my unwanted powerslide the other day :shock:

what should oil temp be on g60? max and min in diff ocnditions etc...?

got mine fixed today. the sensor is down to the right of the distributor if i remeber correctly. Just need reconnected now works fine. Guess it could stop working or any number of reasons tho
