  1. ahhhhhhhhhhhh, gutted for ya mate, aslong as your happy with the outcome though
  2. My garage is full of Kathie Winkle Crockery (dont ask) that my wife has said her mum and dad can store in MY garage while they move house (theyve moved but its still there) also kids bikes, bbq, rabbits  and other various junk that is preventing me from getting any four wheel pleasure in there, but at least theres still room for my SnapOn tools. :)
  3. Leaking front shock is defo failure, leaking exhaust not a failure unless the tester is unable to get a reading on the gas analyser, a lot of places will just fail it but if they do this get them to read their mot manual properly.
  4. clean thank god, only points that i have ever had were 6 in one go about 10 years ago, got caught on the M18 rushing to work at 133.76mph in my MK2 :) thought they were gonna take my license but due to work commitments they gave me 6 points and £1000 fine :( bstds good thing is though it really calmed me down I think I would have been dead now if Id have carried on driving like I used to
  5. So come on whats the web address??? lets see what we can do I do like the idea of shaggin his mom though, any pics of her???? someone else can have the dog though

  8. Rarest car ive owned is the Capri Brooklands 280 Factory Turbo Technics, 1038 Brooklands ever made only 50 I believe were TT from the factory, 60mph in first gear and I just WISH I still had it.
  9. Theres a Gallardo in our Village just outside of Sheffield, probably the rarest Ive seen though is the Maclaren Mercedes in Cannes late last year
  10. Im liking the engine but what worries me is that Im going to have to rub shoulders with people who look like they are related to David Bellamy............mmm having a rethink :) ahhh f*ck it, the power wins I can always grow a beard
  11. Im at the stage of trying to weigh up merits of buying a Caterham or Westfield, It would be a self build so at least I could spread the 20k cost over a suitable period. Has anyone on here done it, drove one, owned one etc. Although Ive driven a couple fast Ive never really pushed to their limits as they werent my cars. The models I am looking at are the Caterham SV Roadsport or Superlight and the Westfield 2000 sport. Should be good for some sunday morning thrashing and track day action aswell as a portable bath tub in our climate. :-P
  12. Surely theres compensation somewhere for you in the form of a big hefty cheque, whiplash claim etc, shame about 2 vdubs going out in a bang though, and glad your both alive and well. :)
  13. Whats with the door handles for midgets???
  14. Yup, not the base models though i dont think, is it just the turbo model, one of em has it anyway :)
  15. Yeah the GTO did have a switchable valve in the exhaust, but as far as I know it wasnt manually activated it was used to get around the noise legislation in Japan as the test is done at a certain rev range, therefore the valve opened above the tested figure giving more noise and more importantly more power :) and yes it did also have active front spoiler and also one under the car if im not wrong to aid downforce. Theres a few cars about at the minute with active spoilers, the new shape VW Bug, Mclaren SLR as someone mentioned and of course various models of Porker. Cant think of anymore of the top of my head but im sure there are loads out there.
  16. Garages normally back down if its a legit complaint and you threaten them with the Ministry because the hassle that a visit creates is just not worth it, your entire MOT system is put under a microscope and they pick out every little problem, after so many warnings its bye bye license so its just not worth it.
  17. I have a weakness for all things gadgety, 42" plasma, B&W cinema surround, touch screen remotes etc etc, and seem to have been spending a hell of a lot on photography equipment at the minute, cameras (digital and film), filters, tripod, bag, lenses, enlargers, dark room equipment, none of it Ill ever use I bet, and the wife costs me loads, I also have a thing for expensive watches which has rubbed off on her, so now we have to omegas to the tune of 4k, and her love of Jimmy Choo's is keeping me from buying a new Corrado. Oh well you can only spend it once, cant take it to the grave, etc etc. (sayings by skint people)
  18. In no particular order :- Ferrari 360 Aston Martin Vanquish Mclaren Mercedes BMW M3 CSL and I hate to say it but my old Turbo Technics Brooklands 280 capri just blew me away, i loved it........oh and my Golf VR6 was up there too but that was more induction than exhaust note..........:)
  19. You would DARE to fit them to a Corrado..........be gone with you heathen!!!! you should be burnt at the stake, WITCH!!! WITCH!!! WITCH!!! sorry lost my train of thought there for a moment....no idea if they fit or not, give em a go!!!! :)
  20. Yup use it, it should give better quality sound with a tighter bass, if you believe what you read in the hifi magazines ....mmmmm
  21. I had a Scorpion on the golf VR I had and it sounded awesome, but after workin in a tyre and exhaust garage for 10+ years id recommend the magnex all the way, by far the best fit and finish exhaust you can buy off the shelf
  22. Your bank manager might not.....but heh welcome anyway!!! :)
  23.
