Corrado As 2nd Car Classic Insurance Cost?
RadoAds replied to belfastfumanchu's topic in General Car Chat
Up until 2 months ago, when it was wrote off :x I had a 1.8 16v insured as a second car thru norwich union under a classic policy restricted to 2000 miles a year but this can be altered for not too much more on the premium, total cost £115, Im 31 with no NCB and a clean license but the car had to meet a certain requirement on the age i think it was 15 years old mine being a H reg it was just out but they swung it for me anyway, they were very good when it came to settle the policy when the bonnet popped open at speed although they took there time as usual for insurance companys. -
Had one as a company car for a month or 2 in the early 90's and in a straight line it held its own very nicely against our 944 s2 but when it got to the twistys you thought you were gonna die if you were pushing it  , didnt feel very solid though if i remember correctly but it did look awesome in lemon yellow 8) , didnt do very well when at the side of the 928 s4 my boss had though

Doesn't matter what you spend - Boxster Disaster??
RadoAds replied to Storm's topic in General Car Chat
Sorry to hear about all the probs, but please dont buy a VX, yes I know theyre good cars but as far as kudos goes does it ever really get close to a Porker and at this sort of level of car purchasing then you cant tell me its about what goes round corners better, obviously you can always get a bad one but I bet if you stuck the porsche at the side of the VX im sure youd find that the german machine would always be of a better quality........usually :? -
Didn't think I could ever call a c owner a w*nker on this forum and get away with it........but what a w*nker, I hope hes got the excuse that he bought it off someone already like that cos if he did it himself i feel even more sorry for him, could anyone live with the centre tunnel like that

You got away with it lightly mate, I got stopped about 7 years ago on the M18 clocked at an average of 119.7mph, my solicitor told me to expect a ban unless i could give them reason, so I came up with the story about picking up a young lad who'd just started out in life for work and taking him to scunthorpe where we worked, anyway to cut a long story short I got away with the ban but got 6 points and a £1000 fine, every one ive spoke to since has said f*ckin ell i only got 100 quid etc .......story of my life

I now know why the C is so rare, Ive just been on the annual Hols with the family, drove from Sheffield to the Eurotunnel, then through France, Belgium, Luxembourg, back into France and then into Switzerland to Interlaken for a few days, f*ck me there were loads of em, I must have counted half a dozen in the first half an hour all in a little town at the foot of the north face of the Eiger, all Euro styled and pretty phat. There was only 1 that i saw that was a dog and that looked like it was halfway thru being maxed (not for me im afraid), then I didnt see another one after we left Interlaken down thru Mont Blanc into Italy and a week long stay at Cannes in the south of France and all the way home, Just short of 3000 miles in 2 weeks and they were all in one village full of yodlers and cuckoo clocks.
-
wasnt there a vr6 storm on the net for sale a few weeks ago that was on a P plate????
-
Dont worry about it being a money pit......aslong as it puts a big f*uckin grin ear to ear, and after driving all the M3's to date I'd say any one of em is going to do that.

Norwich Union wanted to give me 2 thirds of the market value in cash and the car back, i was mad not to take it, sorry to hear all about it mate and hope the chav has is knackeres chewed off by a rotweiller in the very near future

water in exhaust vapour... too late or any repair help?
RadoAds replied to bighairymuppet's topic in Archive
Defo sounds like condensation especially if youve not taken it on a long run it builds up in the exhaust until it gets hot enough to evaporate, hope so anyway for your sake  -
I think ive tried all the different brands over the the last few years, and to be honest i wouldnt have anything but Alpine now in fact the one i have in the everyday runaround (galaxy  ) is still going after 8 years, I paid 1400 for the 7568-r (i think) and the ai-net 12 disk changer its been in at least 5 different cars and still puts more modern systems to shame, I then put a single disk Alpine in my old Valver, cant remember which model off hand but for under £200 and couldnt fault that in any way shape or form, so Alpine it is 8)

Not really my cup of tea either but it does look nice for a bug, i do like the oval back window thing tho, anyway good luck mate and look forward to seeing updates on your progress on the conversion
-
Looks gorgeous mate, im not jealous at all

Just trading standards im afraid, but then again mention trading standards to any "proper" business and they should sort your problem asap, the hassle that trading standards can cause to a business is just not worth thinking about :(
-
Errrrrrrrrr, youd be mad not to let the dealer do it, all the hassle expense and grief, grief and oh yeah more grief that youd have doing it yourself, give it to them like you say at least theyll have to fix everything they break.
-
Told you someone would tell you the easiest way to get the little b*stard out, (get the dealers to do it  ), thought Henny would get there first tho......nice one dr mat
-
replace it :? never done one on a C before but in my mk2 golf it was infront of the gearstick behind the dash, not the nicest of jobs in the world though if I remember correctly, it looks like a little radiator in the big plastic case, Im sure Henny will be able to tell you the easiest way to get the little b*stard out tho

Yup, sounds like the heater matrix to me mate
