find the circlip on the inside of the cvjoint beneath the grease make sure you have a good purchase on it with a pair of circlip pliars, then give the cvjoint a really good sharp wack, if you can have someone hold on to the drive shaft near to the box unless your an octopus of course then this really helps, and also try to hit it square on away from the box as near to the splines as possible to give it the best possible way off the splines, and as someone said earlier a copper mallet is the best tool to prevent any damage to the cv joint itself, on refitment make sure the cvjoint has had a really good clean as dirt or grit in the grease can lead to you taking it off fairly soon afterwards

Yeah the easiest way is to cut off the spinning collar that surrounds the bolt with a chisel or sturdy screwdriver, then hammer on a 1/2 " drive socket that just sits on top of the bolt head, this should give you enough purchase to loosen the bolt with a cracking bar or extendable wrench.........job done......its never failed for me anyway and after many sad years in the tyre fitting trade I should know  (the locking bolts you have will be trilocks, which were notorious for the pins that sit in the holes to bend out of the key anyway which is the reason why this was quite a common job)

Yup I agree, the noise of a car always makes a difference to your right foot

dont know about the C in particular, but normally theres a circlip inside the CV Joint which you need to open and then normally a good old whack with a blunt instrument will get the old joint off mate, you might need to do quite a bit of cleaning to actually see the circlip though as it will be beneath all the cv grease.......hope this helps some although like i said never done one on a corrado as i can remember but done hundreds on other cars :?

Looks good to me, 8)

Someone my boss used to know had one and it was an awesome machine, dont think ive ever been in a car that made blokes heads turn as much as that one did, didnt do much for the fairer sex as i care to remember though, probably cos it looked like a big vauxhall, albeit one with large wheels, vents and that extremely sexy green paint that was almost black in some lights 8)
-
Even more costly to run than a Corrado, but i have to say they are an awesome machine, a mate had one a few years ago in blue like in the first post and i loved it 8)

Looking super as usual, that second pic in the peak district looks suspiciously like the road from Castleton up towards Mam Tor to me, am I correct??? glad to hear its clean now though 8) -
My wifes Gran has just bought a secondhand Merc from the stealers and they fleeced her for the diamondbrite treatment, £399 for the treatment including the interior which is leather, the cars black and looks amazing but as they have only had it for a week I cant comment on longevity, does look ultra shiny tho 8)

Stunning mate, nice to see someone whos done it themselves as it makes such a difference 8) 8)

To be honest it came off better than i thought it would, I expected it to just disintegrate on impact
-
sorry to hear about it mate, but at least it wasnt a total loss and she'll be back on the road soon,........unlike mine

Sounds more like a front coil spring to me mate, either its not sat right in the cup or one of the ends of the coils have broken so its not seated properly wont be a cv joint cos thats more like a dry grinding thud that is constant with your speed as you turn a corner normally on full lock, doesnt sound like bushes either to be honest as this wouldnt give you a twang, and the anti roll bar would only twang if it was seriously loose i.e. bolts were either about to drop out or already have done,........check the coil springs first and the top and bottom mounts :)

I saw the SLR in the flesh in Cannes a couple of months ago and it was f*ckin amazin, but i think the DB9 or Koenigsegg would be for me 8)

I actually like it, dont like the thought of chopping up a C to get there but it looks good, obviously a hell of a lot of work has gone in to it and hats off to the chap, although i agree about his hair

Corrado T-Shirts ideas/Pre-Production NEW DESIGNS IN! 10/11
RadoAds replied to Red=Fast's topic in General Car Chat
Ive got to say that after the first post of the sample pic.....what went wrong......I know a lot of work has gone into these shirts but they remind me of the old t's you could by at the seaside with superman and rambo plastered all over the front (yes i had a rambo one when i was 10), the retro urban style from the supercharger design has gone, and after reading the posts again alot of people wanted a generic T not just a G60 version, I know you say there coming but surely its more important and probably easier on the design process if you had a generic one first and then added VR6 or G60 to the existing design somehow, I dont want to upset anyone and Im not saying there rubbish, just not the sort of thing that I expected after the original post.........sorry blackout  -
Oh dear!!!!!!!!!!!! WARNING this post may offent some people

Yeah it does look crap, but at least he picked a C in the first place like someone said earlier, it could have been a way over riced nova or corsa :( theres a lad in our village with a pug 106 , the bodykit and spoilers and 4 dulux cans he has as exhaust pipes must weigh more than the fookin car originally did  -

RadoAds replied to jedi-knight83's topic in General Car Chat
If your not going for standout red then silver in my opinion, not that my opinion counts for much  -
I would have said red if you look at the classifieds, then again might just be that everyone wants rid of there red c's :?
