  1. 30% equipement - 70% install lots of fibreglass/dynamat is the only way to get good bass from a door enclosure imo. as for tweeters get some that come in little pods that swivel. then attach them to 2 spare tweeter covers and point them where you please :) loses the factory look but who cares. or install them in custom APillars facing across the dash.
  2. could have read you mine off but its back on the car now :(
  3. wouldnt be the aux belt? you can see it down the side of the airbox i think so see if its in good shape.
  4. success :) regreased the buggeroo and its mint now. if it goes again Ill redo the whole unit with one of phats shiny ones :)
  5. lol maybe ;) it will have to wait till tomorrow to get one tho :(
  6. sorted :) not only had the wire came loose from the resistor but the wire was actually stretched so the metal was broken inside giving an intermittent connection. all sorted now tho :D thanks for all the help :)
  7. sorry mate - I had factory ones and was only fixing the seat section as the wire had detached. was on a longish drive yesterday and a heated ass was lush :)
  8. havent looked at the bearing yet just going by what the vortex guide said (and I only had a quick scan).
  9. belt looks mint so will reuse the same one. the noise started only yesterday and it didnt lose any tension so the belt should still be 100%. I may even try greasing it just first and pick the bearing up tomorrow if that doesnt help it as its moving freely enough.
  10. lol my max was £12 too. all the other guy had to bid was like 30p more ;) whats the going rate on them?
  11. lol yup :) fecked if i know how Im gonna fit it but Ill figure something out :D
  12. well i may need to pinch a long M8 bolt :)
  13. £6+vat for the bearing - has to be worth a shot alright!!!
  14. ok stripped it off and the wheel was a little stiff. dosed some wd40 in and it turns nice and smooth with no play but is making a grinding noise. not too bad in my hand but i guess its defo the source of the prob. any thoughts? If I can get away with replacing the bearing sweet but where can I get one from? else Ill prob get one off the $tealer.
  15. just pop the bugger off then and take a peek? anything complicated about the operation or is it plug and play?
  16. was out for an 80 mile or so run in the VR today and the car has developed a metallic whining sound from the tensioner area (beside air box at front of engine). its directly related to engine speed and the belt is tight and in good condition (no fraying, cracks etc). is it a common fault for this tensioner to go (80k miles) and is it easy to remove and inspect? any tips appreciated -pablo

powerflow will make you anything you want as long as you pay for it ;) its just a piece of pipe at the end of the day. nothing fancy.
  18. nah gave up on the whole ice game tbh.
  19. 2.4kw is a lot of juice which is gonna suck performance thru weight and electrical load. do one sub in a trick fibreglass ported box. keep the weight down and the port *should* get you the same kind of volume as with the sealed boxes. slightly different sound but you wont notice as your organs will be vibrating ;) saying that 1.2kw into a sealed box should still pound!! Erskine is still in the business afaik and should be able to sort you something out if you decide to go for sealed.
  20. hey I know u ;) from talkaudio :)
  21. 2.4kw for musical reproduction tho is way OTT. I hope you plan to buy a couple of optimas and 200A alternator too ;)
