i have just repaired a scrape on my n/s/f bumper at the weekend with a twin pack aerosol bought from a stealer, so there shouldnt be any problems with colour matching completed the job great, only problem colour is completely different to rest of car is there more than one shade of aqua blue?

am having same problem at the moment somebody pointed out to me that the camshaft sensors are one of the biggest culprits when there is a loss of power, dont know how difficullt they are to fix though

went to collect my car after work to find my workmates had stuck a false cardboard power bulge on the bonnet and cardboard side intakes much to the amusment of other people in the car park -
Stalling at a set of traffic lights and letting a calibra 16v get in front!!

just completed renewing timing chains, guides and tensioners head sent off for skimming renewed clutch everything ok but now have noisey tappets could the head being taken off and sent to get skimmed contributed to this? are they worth changing or is it worth bothering about any ideas?

just completing an engine rebuild including the timing chains ,head gasket ,clutch and radiator coming to the last part putting the rocker cover on have discovered that the stealers have supplied the wrong rocker cover gasket in the head set and even better than that the correct one is on back order from vw great end to the week!

you have my sympathies mate has anyone thought that the low life might be using the forum to get locations to steal to order a sobering thought! all the police seem to want to do is issue speeding tickets, they wont want to waste their time then it took them two days to come and investigate when my brother was mugged, nice one thames valley police!!

at a 198 years old i think you were ripped off -
being that i am an old git i have just paid £220 fully comp through norwich union for my vr6. but i would hate to think how much the younger drivers pay ,and i have seen some on the forum as young as 18. be interesting to know who has paid the highest amont.

just bought timing chains and tensioners today in preparation for getting them changed, but i overlooked buying the guides do these need to be changed? the guy who is doing it for me has done this job a few times before,he told me he is going to take the engine out completely and at the same time change the big and main end bearings, all for £400 labour including changing the clutch Bargain i thought pity the clutch kit is backordered from vw

anyone got any tips for changing the rad in my vr6,is it an easy job cheers

i have a coolant leak on my vr6 from around it seems at the top r/h of the radiator as you are facing the car, i changed the seal under the plastic housing that is held by two bolts but the leak is still there, it looks like the leak is coming from this housing unless there is a hairline crack in it. is this a common problem on the vr6?
