Do a search on autotrader for SEAT Arosa £3000-£4000 with the postcode G71 6BS and it will be the last one hopefully...... :thumbleft:
-
Or a SEAT Arosa 1.4 TDI.......VERY cheap to run....one on seat website for 4 grand with only 26 thou on it.......
-
Polo, Golf, Bora TDI, or maybe SEAT Ibiza or Leon TDI...... :?:

All you need to do is take out the glow plugs and the cylinders will lose their compression and the engine will stop. Might burn your fingers a bit though!!

Then again........the helicopters i work on carry 750Kg of fuel and only have a range of 335 miles, or just over 2 hours at normal cruising speed (135 mph). So if we look at it this way.......... 750 kg of fuel.....Spec Gravity of fuel = 0.83.....= 623 litres of fuel. 623 litres = about 155 Gallons So in mpg we get 2.2mpg!!!!!! This amount of fuel in the veyron would keep it going for about the same time but at twice the speed (nearly). Interestingly, the heli has 2000 horsepower...the veyron just under half that!!! What can we gain from this I hear you ask.......It would appear that the Bugatti is about as economical to run as a high performance military helicopter. Of course in the heli you don't pay that ****** Gordon Brown road tax and fuel duty is less on aviation fuel, so you could be better off beating the traffic, and the speed bumps and flying to work every day???

This is deffo your temp sender!!! I have just replaced both of mine and my temp guage works fine now. I also replaced the fan themo switch as that was cutting in a bit late. The part no's for the bits are.............from GS&F Temp sensor 2 pin black/green.....93493.......£5.40 Temp sensor 2 pin blue.....93494A.....£6.90 Rad Thermo switch....93478....£7.95 All + VAT of course  I am pretty sure if you replace these bits then you will be fine, temp wise. As for the heater problem, mine seems to have fixed itself  .......However, i think the problem is my water pump, since the heat coming from the vents is dependant on engine rpm. I had a similar problem with my Leon Cupra where the drive into the impeller was slipping inside the impeller and hence not turning the impeller at the correct speed. Yet another fantastic VW design  It is probably worth removing your water pump and seeing if you can turn the impeller on the shaft whilst holding the multi v drive stationary.........I will be doing this his week some time and will let you know the results. Does anyone know the part no/ price for a new water pump for a G60......forewarned is forearmed after all :) Hope this helps

Let us know what the garage said it is when they've fixed it  Hopefully it will be the same thing on mine :|

Not had much luck yet!! I too have checked the heater controls and the are working fine. The two valves mentioned earlier are £25 each from VW !!!! It really is starting to bug me now. Is there a bleed screw on the heater matrix or its associated pipework anywhere? I have had a look for one but cant see one. This strikes me as strange since most cars i have ever worked on have bleeds all over the place to ensure there are no airlocks in the system. Anyone got any ideas?

Can anyone tell me which way round the heater matrix the coolant should flow. ie the two pipes that go thru the bulkhead----------which is the in and out??? Thanks in advance :)
-
I have exactly the same problem with my G60. I replaced the thermostat last week and there has been no difference!!!! My heater too, is pants, i am now looking at changin' the heater matrix by pass valves - the ones between the two heater hoses on the front bulkhead. Does anyone know how these work? Is it excess pressure or temp that causes them to open? If it is pressure i think i may change my expansion tank cap also. Any thoughts anyone?????? Thanks :salute:

If you ask kvwloon, nicely enough, maybe he can get you an aircraft fuel tank inerter!! It takes O2 out of air and turns it into nitrogen for you? :smurf:

Why pay for Nitrogen when air is free!!! :|
