  1. 17" Speedlines in Gunmetal/Anthracite would look great on this :-)
  2. Perhaps from the Euro / continental version but I've never seen that wheel in any Corrado over in the UK or in the US for that matter, quite like it though. Banded steel rims as well ?
  3. Cheers :-) ---------- Post added at 10:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:39 PM ---------- No, it hasn't been rolling-roaded as yet, and won't be until the engine is in the final state of tune etc.. I am currently running a standard head, injectors and cam with a custom "sensible" map to allow everything to bed-in properly during the running-in period for new engines of roughly 1500 miles. That said, the weather has been so pi** since Nov that the rado has been tucked-up since then.... I've started making a list of the things I want to do this year to finish her-off, but am hopefully away to buy a house to things may take a back-seat for a while to let the finances recover a little....
  4. I didn't either to be fair, all four of them..... But to be fair, there was a helluva lot of work involved in getting the car to where it is now. ---------- Post added at 10:32 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:30 PM ---------- Thanks for the kind comments, yeah I would recommend a second mortgage if you want to do something similar unless you have the facilities and you do most of the work yourself ! I would certainly recommend replacing as many of the orignal tired old parts with new / reconditioned original parts as possible as they will be past there best. If it's a big project, I would recommend you start collecting parts and source as many original hard to find bits as possible as this can take some time, it took me over 3 years to collect the bits for my build and take all the advice John @ JMR gives you, he's a very helpful man :-)
  5. Welcome, looks nice :-) Which car are the seats and steering wheel out of ?
  6. So have some messing about to do before I am 100 % happy with the engine bay, which is proving difficult to pull-off, but here is how it stands at the moment:
  7. Love this on the Borbet B's, reminds me of my old white G60. I always wanted another set of these wheels but they simply won't fit over big-brakes so knocked the idea on the head. Really good-looking rado pal :-)
  8. Yep, same as mine, the perfect compromise between looks/handling IMO.
  9. John at JMR Racing in Littlehampton has carried out the majority of works to my Corrado and I can't recommendhom enough, another vote for JMR here :-)
  10. The mirror-triangles are carbon-laminated, but real CF, none of this 3M vinyl rubbish.... Cheers Graeme :-) Few more pics Mmmn, carbon.... Nice place to be :-) Paint is like glass Tucked-up for winter
  11. Interesting, that looks like a proper rubber seal, which is unusual as the Passat ones come with a fabric-type seal which is rubbish...
  12. What happens if you've removed the front one ? ;-)
  13. As per title, looking for a MK3 Golf/Passat/Jetta diesel TDI (also came in Caddy ?) gearbox, MUST be CTN / ASD-code only (must be able to prove code of gearbox from serial number or stamp etc.) and in good nick with no spaceship miles please. Cash waiting, Cheers
  14. Have a look at mine here with latest pics on page 18: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?14797-The-Judge-s-G60-total-rebuild-finished-%28almost%29-NEW-PICS/page18 Custom front bumper with custom fabricated intake-vents, removed plate recess & mesh, debadged black 3-slat grille, smoothed mirrors (original mod at that time), late-spec VR6 rear bumper with towing eye removed / smoothed, smoothed deseamed rear panel with badge removed (all welded), colour-coded number-plate US-spec plinth, colour-coded delocked Audi door-handles / mechanisms, all brand-new seals / scrapers / roof-mouldings / trims etc., carbon-fibre scuttle-trims & mirror-triangles, T4 transporter wing vent, side rubbing strips removed, rear wiper removed (welded) etc. etc I'd like to have the following done next year: Roof aerial deleted, wing indicators removed with holes welded / smoothed & replaced with US-spec front bumper side-markers, possibly colour-code front-bumper intake-vents & delete front-bumper indicators (?), TDI-style downturned stainless rear-silencer
  15. What you hatching pal ;-) ?
  16. Can you tell me what sort of seal it has, is it fabric or rubber ? Have you got another seal to go insode or is it just the single seal type, is there any chance you could take a pic of it for me please ?
  17. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_Passat_%28B5%29 All you need to know ;-)
  18. Hmmmn, good luck with fitting it and getting it to seal properly, they are a pig to do and either seal or don't, it's pot-luck.
  19. So got her back up to bonnie Scotland in one-piece, some interesting driving conditios on the way up the road....I have never seen so much rain in my life over such a prolonged period.....it rained for all of the 608 miles back home The engine-bay is not quite finished yet, so will post-up a pic of this when it's complete. The engine is in a low-state of tune at the moment to allow the freshly-built engine to run-in and bed-down properly, with final parts / live-mapping to be completed sometime in the New Year after a road-trip down to the South. A few pics as she stood prior to collection: More pics to follow when it's dried-up a bit. A quick thanks to all the hard-work put in on the car put in by all at John Mitchell Racing (JMR) of Littlehampton, who worked late to get the car prepped for the handover & who worked through numerous issues they faced with the build with care. Amazing efforts and a testament to their skills and commitment, I know that it's all been worth it. What John doesn't know about VAG-cars and more specifically G60 engines, is not worth knowing, and I can't recommend him enough. More to come, watch this space.
  20. So haven't been keeping up to date on here really, have plenty pics but seeing as collection day is looming this weekend, will wait until she's back up the road, excited much ? Oh yeah :)
