Payment for all items by paypal (providing you pay fee's or send funds as a gift) or bank transfer. I work away from home a lot, so postage may be delayed. Oh and excuse the bit of paper in a lot of the pics, rather annoying ed38 rules.....

  2. Saw and paid for a set of 5-door MK3 Anniversary seatbelts on Tues, was promised next day delivery, i.e. Wed. They have charged my card. Called them 3 times yesterday afternoon to ask why no delivery yet / check if been dispatched etc. and for tracking number, promised to call me back. Nothing. Called them at least 30 times today between 10 am and 6pm and they just ignore the calls.

    Not happy.

  3. Yeah you can get s/hand lifts these days for reasonable money but you just need to be careful of the ones in need of overhaul and ones that use 3 phase motors....

Oh and a pitched roof garage would be handy too :D

I have some info on this subject if peeps are interested :)

  4. Interesting,

If that is the dimensions for the Genny Profile 5, then they are identical to that of the Profile 4 Ultra, i.e. it would therefore 100 % fit my Audioscape amp-rack without any need for modifcation. :|

    Profile 5: Dimensions: 450 x 38 x 217mm

    Profile 4: Dimensions: 450 x 38 x 217 mm

Apparently the Profile four Ultra is longer than then Profile four.....oops, my bad, should have made it clear I had an Ultra :brickwall:

But any any case, you all seem to reckon the best idea is to ditch the rear 6 x 4's completely anyways, so I would probs be best off selling the two spare mono amps I have, making some cash and sticking with the Profile 4 ? :?

It must be a pretty recent thing then, Genny going bust ? Damn shame :(

  5. Thought this might be the case about needing an amp with more channels. I would need to sell the 3 amps I have though to fund a Profile five at £500 ! :confused4:

Abdul, where did you get the info about Genesis going under as their website etc. is still live etc ?

How come you reckon ditching the rear speakers is the way to go ?

Would there be any harm in me running the rear speakers off the head-unit therefore leaving the 4 channels on the Profile 4 (two to run the two front speakers and bridge two remaining channels to run the sub ?)

bristolbaron, could you possibly do me a favour and see if you can measure the length and breadth of your profile five ? I need to see if it will fit into the Audioscape amp-rack that I have, but I suspect it may be made specifically for the Profile four, although I guess it could be modified / made larger and then retrimmed

  6. Wow, I like the pace my build thread is taking.

I have converted to 5x100 already. I'm not welding them theres plenty of meat in them to redrill and the bolt seats are tapered really well. Im drilling out to 112 so I dont have to pay more for the adaptors. I'm just a tight arse with little money lol! The H&R adapters to 114.3 are £130 per axle. FK 112 are £75 per axle. In the great words of the compare the market meerkat: "Simples" haha!

If you need a set of 5x114.3PCD adapters (custom not FK), I can get a set of these for about £150 mate, let me know if interested and will sort out details

Is that for all four? if so Ill bite your hand off now if you can get them to me in 7 days!!!

Yes for a set of four, whether they could be done in 7 days especially with bad weather and Xmas approaching, I'm not sure but I will ask the question and put you in touch with the guy,

    Cheers

  8. Why you welding and redrilling the wheels ? You can get 5x100 to 5x114.3PCD adapters mate ?

Seems a bit pointless having them welded and redrilled to 5x112PCD when you then need to run 5x100 - 5x112PCD adapters to then run them ?

He's changed his hubs to 5x100's. Might want to advoid adapters for offset reasons?

Aye, but if his hubs are 5x100, to run 5x112PCD wheels, he will still need to run adapters to fit wheels ?

I have a couple of jap-fitment wheels too and they are all have offsets of between ET35 and ET40, so running 5x100 to 5x114.3PCD adapters would be no problem and would avoid any need to weld and redrill wheels at all :)
